This work presents a rational electrode design for electrochemical CO2 reduction, employing Ag nanowire networks as both current collectors and tandem catalysts. The Ag nanowires are deposited onto the catalyst layer, forming a stacked PTFE/catalyst/Ag nanowires configuration.

Fifteen to 20% of patients with an acute ischaemic stroke have a tandem lesion defined by the combination of an intracranial large vessel thrombo-embolic occlusion and a high grade stenosis or occlusion of the ipsilateral internal carotid artery.

Objective Cerebral ischemic stroke causes neuronal oxygen/energy deprivation, disrupting mitochondrial function including reduced membrane potential and bioenergetics, exacerbating neuronal injury. Mitochondrial defects are, therefore, a central neuropathological node and potential therapeutic target.

Abstract The majority of breast cancer‐related deaths result from metastatic progression, especially brain metastasis, associated with the poorest prognosis. Patients with triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC) are particularly prone to developing brain metastases.

The R18D peptide exhibits a favorable pharmacokinetic profile and significantly reduces infarct volume in a rat model of middle cerebral artery occlusion (MCAO) followed by reperfusion. These findings highlight the potential clinical utility of R18D as a neuroprotective therapy for stroke patients undergoing endovascular recanalization interventions ...

Background Acute ischemic stroke (AIS) can be caused by multiple factors, including intracranial large vessel occlusion (LVO), severe stenosis or occlusion of the cervical carotid artery, or both (tandem lesion). The optimal treatment strategy for tandem

ABSTRACT There is a need to better understand the indications and safety profiles for therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE) in children. We aimed to assess pediatric TPE practice at a large academic center by retrospective chart review from 2011 to 2022. Patient demographics and clinical information including American Society for Apheresis (ASFA) category ...

Angioplasty and stenting for symptomatic extracranial non-tandem internal carotid artery occlusion
IntroductionSymptomatic internal carotid artery occlusion (ICAO) can lead to neurologic decline, recurrent stroke, and mortality.ObjectiveWe sought to evaluate the safety and feasibility of endovascular revascularization for ICAO without tandem ...
