Immediate Carotid Artery Stenting or Deferred Treatment in Patients With Tandem Carotid Lesions Treated Endovascularly for Acute Ischaemic Stroke

Effects of cold water immersion versus active recovery on oxidative stress, redox gene expression and mitochondrial adaptations after strength training

Abstract We compared the acute and chronic effects of postexercise cold water immersion (CWI) and active recovery (ACT) on oxidative stress, redox‐related gene expression, mitochondrial adaptations and muscle oxidative capacity. In a crossover study, nine males completed strength sessions, followed by either 10 min CWI or ACT.
