A Novel Tandem Differential Edge Sensor Layout for Segmented Mirror Telescopes

open access: yesSensors, 2023
The performance of an active control system, crucial for the co-phase maintenance of segmented mirrors, is closely related to the spatial layout of sensors and actuators.

CD47 promotes mitogen‐activated protein kinase and epithelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition molecular programs to drive prometastatic phenotypes in non‐small cell lung cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Beyond its role in immune evasion, this study identified that CD47 drives tumor‐intrinsic signaling in non‐small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Transcriptomic profiling and functional studies revealed that CD47 regulates cell adhesion, migration, and metastasis through an ERK–EMT signaling axis.

Using TanDEM-X Pursuit Monostatic Observations with a Large Perpendicular Baseline to Extract Glacial Topography

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2018
Space-based Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar (InSAR) applications have been widely used to monitor the cryosphere over past decades. Owing to temporal decorrelation, interferometric coherence often severely degrades on fast moving glaciers ...

Two-Moment Phase-Type Fitting for ASIP Tandem Systems

open access: yesProceedings of the 15th International Conference on Operations Research and Enterprise Systems
The asymmetric simple inclusion process (ASIP) is an n-site tandem stochastic network used to model clustered particle flow. Particles at each site form a cluster that moves to the next site when its gate opens. For the general ASIP, no closed-form expression exists for the load in terms of the first two moments of the interarrival and inter-gate ...

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Towards the Analysis of the Performance Measures of Heterogeneous Networks by Means of Two-Phase Queueing Systems

open access: yesDiscrete and Continuous Models and Applied Computational Science, 2021
Due to a multistage nature of transmission processes in heterogeneous 4G, 5G mobile networks, multiphase queuing systems become one of the most suitable ways for the resource allocation algorithms analysis and network investigation.

Proteasome inhibitor, ixazomib prevents topoisomerase‐I degradation and reverses irinotecan resistance in colorectal cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Ixazomib inhibits proteasome‐mediated degradation of topoisomerase I induced by irinotecan, thereby restoring drug sensitivity and promoting tumor cell death in colorectal cancer. Irinotecan, a topoisomerase I (topoI) inhibitor, is widely used for colorectal cancer, but resistance remains a major clinical challenge.

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Unconventional phase metal heteronanostructures with tunable exposed interface for efficient tandem nitrate electroreduction to ammonia

open access: yesNature Communications
Tandem catalysis is an effective approach to achieve highly selective and high-rate multi-electron/proton transfer reactions, such as nitrate electroreduction, which are important for various physicochemical and biological processes.
