Numerical analysis of a non-clamped dynamic thermoviscoelastic contact problem

open access: yes, 2019
In this work we analyze a non-clamped dynamic viscoelastic contact problem involving thermal effect. The friction law is described by a nonmonotone relation between the tangential stress and the tangential velocity.

Compressible Flow Exfoliation of Two‐Dimensional Nanomaterials: Insights Into Layer Separation Informed by Gas Dynamics

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study elucidates the mechanism of compressible flow exfoliation for producing 2D hexagonal boron nitride (h‐BN). Fluid dynamics analysis reveals that acceleration‐driven aerodynamic shear forces, rather than shock waves alone, drive effective layer separation.

Numerical modeling of wall-to-cluster heat transfer in swirling fluidized beds based on MFiX-DEM approach

open access: yesCase Studies in Thermal Engineering
The introduction of a tangential velocity component in swirling fluidized beds enhances mixing and heat transfer. Particle clusters are common mesoscale structures in gas-solid flow systems.

Local existence of solutions to the 2D MHD boundary layer equations without monotonicity in Sobolev space

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
In this work, we investigated the local existence of the solutions to the 2D magnetohy-drodynamic (MHD) boundary layer equations on the half plane by energy methods in weighted Sobolev space.

Relationship between Axial Width and Flow Characteristics of Pump Chamber in Double Volute Centrifugal Pump

open access: yesXibei Gongye Daxue Xuebao, 2020
The axial width of pump chamber has a great influence on the flow characteristics of the pump chamber in the centrifugal pump. A single-stage single-suction double volute centrifugal pump with a semi-open impeller was selected as the object.

Organic Electrochemical Transistor Channel Materials: Copolymerization Versus Physical Mixing of Glycolated and Alkoxylated Polymers

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work discusses the use of blended channel materials in OECTs. It explores how mixing glycolated and alkoxylated polymers in various ratios offers a simpler and more efficient route to tuning OECT properties. The performance of the polymer blends is compared to the corresponding copolymers, demonstrating similar OECT characteristics, swelling ...
