Targeted Lossy Functions and Applications

2021
Lossy trapdoor functions, introduced by Peikert and Waters (STOC ’08), can be initialized in one of two indistinguishable modes: in injective mode, the function preserves all information about its input, and can be efficiently inverted given a trapdoor, while in lossy mode, the function loses some information about its input.

Perspectives in targeting miRNA function

Bioorganic & Medicinal Chemistry, 2013
First oligonucleotide analogues that inhibit miRNA function are currently investigated in clinical trials. In addition, several alternative methods are under development that may allow for controlling miRNA function by small molecules-mediated inhibiting of its biogenesis. In this perspectives article, we provide a short overview on recent developments

Targeting Functional Noncoding RNAs

2017
Noncoding RNAs have essential biochemical functions in different areas of cellular metabolism, including protein synthesis, RNA splicing, protein secretion, and DNA replication. We have successfully used Morpholino antisense oligonucleotides for the functional inactivation of small noncoding RNAs required for DNA replication (Y RNAs in vertebrates and ...

Learning Target Predictive Function without Target Labels

2012 IEEE 12th International Conference on Data Mining, 2012
In the absence of the labeled samples in a domain referred to as target domain, Domain Adaptation (DA) techniques come in handy. Generally, DA techniques assume there are available source domains that share similar predictive function with the target domain.

MEROMORPHIC FUNCTIONS SHARING SMALL FUNCTIONS AS TARGETS

International Journal of Mathematics, 2005
The purpose of this article is twofold. The first is to prove the unicity theorem with truncated multiplicities of meromorphic functions sharing five small functions. This gives a remarkable improvement of the results of Yuhua–Jianyong, Yao and Yi. The second is to generalize the unicity theorem of Fujimoto to meromorphic functions sharing four small ...

Targeting Selectin Functions in the Therapy of Psoriasis

Current Drug Target -Inflammation & Allergy, 2004
As leukocytes play a primary role in the immunopathogenesis of psoriasis, it is a reasonable assumption that preventing those cells from localizing to the sites of cutaneous inflammation can stop the disease process. Selectins, a family of three single-chain transmembrane adhesion molecules, which bind to carbohydrate moieties displayed on other cells,

RACK1 is a functional target of the E1A oncoprotein

Journal of Cellular Physiology, 2003
AbstractThe adenoviral E1A proteins have been implicated in promotion of proliferation and transformation, inhibition of differentiation, induction of apoptosis, regulation of transcription, and suppression of tumor growth. The ability of E1A to override the fundamental controls of host cells is based on its ability to physically interact with several ...
