En este trabajo se evaluó la taza de consumo de oxígeno en juveniles de camarón blanco aclimatados a salinidades de 10, 25 y 40 ups y tres concentraciones no letales de NH4 para lo cual se utilizaron 15 organismos en 12 peceras de 40-L aclimatándolos en tres grupos de cuatro peceras a las diferentes salinidades de 10, 25 y 40 ups.
