Chemistry of Chinese yew, Taxus chinensis var. mairei

Biochemical Systematics and Ecology, 2008
Abstract Taxus chinensis var. mairei (Lemee et Levl) Cheng et L.K. Fu is an evergreen tall tree ubiquitous to the southeastern region in China. The first chemical study on this species was published in 1987. Since then about 163 compounds including taxoids and non-taxane compounds were isolated from seeds, root, bark and leaves of this species ...

New Taxoids from the Seeds of Taxus chinensis

Journal of Natural Products, 1998
Two new taxoids, 2alpha-acetoxy-2',7-dideacetoxyaustrospicatine (1) and decinnamoyltaxinine E (2), have been isolated from the extracts of the seeds of the Chinese yew Taxus chinensis (Pilg.) Rehd. in addition to taxuspine Z (3), taxin B (4), taxezopidine G (5), 7, 2'-bisdeacetoxyaustropicatine (6), 5alpha-cinnamoyl-9alpha,10beta, 13alpha ...

Taxane diterpenoids from the seeds of Chinese yew Taxus chinensis

Phytochemistry, 1999
The taxoid chinentaxunine has been isolated from the seeds of Chinese yew Taxus chinensis, and its structure determined on the basis of spectral and chemical methods. In addition, the known taxol C, paclitaxel, 10-deacetyl taxol A, 10-deacetyl-7-epitaxol, 10-deacetyl-10-oxo-7-epi-taxol, taxinine M, taxchinin A, 10-deacetyl taxinine B and taxuspine X ...

Two New Taxanes fromTaxus chinensisvar.mairei

Planta Medica, 1998
Two bicyclic taxanes and two abeotaxanes were isolated from the bark and the needles of the Chinese yew, Taxus chinensis var. mairei. The structures of the two new compounds, 5-( N,N-dimethyl-3'-phenylisoseryl)taxachitriene A and 13-acetyl-9-deacetyl-9-benzoyl-10-debenzoyltaxchinin A, were established by spectral methods.

[Chemical constituents of Taxus chinensis var. mairei cell cultures].

Yao xue xue bao = Acta pharmaceutica Sinica, 2015
The chemical constituents of Taxus chinensis var. mairei cell cultures were investigated by chromatographic methods, including silica gel column chromatography, Sephadex LH-20 and preparative HPLC. Thirteen compounds were isolated from the 80% ethanol extract of cultured cells and their structures were elucidated by spectral data and physicochemical ...

Cryopreservation of Taxus chinensis suspension cell cultures.

Cryo letters, 2002
A simple cryopreservation method for suspension cells of Taxus chinensis was established. In this procedure 7 days old suspension cells were used without any pre-culture treatment. At first, cells were incubated in cryoprotectant solution (0.5M DMSO and 0.5M glycerol) on ice for 30 min and then frozen at a cooling rate of 1 degree C/min to -40 degrees ...

Screening of taxol-producing endophytic fungi from Taxus chinensis var. mairei

Applied Biochemistry and Microbiology, 2007
A total of 38 endophytic fungus strains were isolated from Taxus chinensis var. mairei by aseptic technique. Genomic DNA was extracted from isolated endophytic fungi and subjected to polymerase chain reaction (PCR) analysis for the presence of Taxus taxadiene synthase (TS) gene, a rate-limiting enzyme gene in the taxol biosynthetic pathway.
