Tailored Xenogeneic‐Free Polymer Surface Promotes Dynamic Migration of Intestinal Stem Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, Volume 38, Issue 8, 6 February 2026.
This study introduces a PoLymer‐coated Ultra‐stable Surface (PLUS), a nitrogen plasma‐treated poly(ethyleneglycoldimethacrylate), as a stable xenogeneic‐free platform for intestinal stem cell culture. PLUS enhances cell attachment, supports actin‐driven migration, and retains functionality after 3 years of storage. Promoting cytoskeletal reorganization,

5′tRF‐GlyGCC Promotes Breast Cancer Progression via LDHA‐Mediated Glycolysis and Macrophage Polarization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 9, 13 February 2026.
5’tRF‐GlyGCC promotes breast cancer malignancy by binding to LDHA. This interaction, facilitated by FGFR1 and LDHA phosphorylation, enhances glycolysis. Additionally, 5’tRF‐GlyGCC/LDHA signaling recruits and polarizes macrophages into a pro‐tumor M2 state via CCL7, thus remodeling the tumor microenvironment.

Cidea Targeting Protects Cochlear Hair Cells and Hearing Function From Drug‐ and Noise‐Induced Damage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 7, 3 February 2026.
Acquired sensorineural hearing loss is primarily caused by the damage or loss of cochlear hair cells, induced by factors such as noise exposure and ototoxic drugs. The deficiency of apoptosis‐inducing gene Cidea in Cidea KO mice or by delivering CRISPR/SlugCas9‐HF via AAV to edit Cidea effectively alleviated hair cell damage and hearing loss caused by ...

The Effect of Partial Shadings on the Output Power of the Photovoltaic Modules Connected with Different Current and Voltage Characteristics

open access: yesJurnal Rekayasa Elektrika
A mismatch in the output power of photovoltaic (PV) modules in a PV array can occur due to partial shading or a module replacement. Substitution of a module in a PV array with a new one might lead to different current and voltage characteristics between ...

The processing peptidase of yeast mitochondria [PDF]

open access: yes, 1988
Two proteins co-operate in the proteolytic cleavage of mitochondrial precursor proteins: the mitochondrial processing peptidase (MPP) and the processing enhancing protein (PEP).

Quasi-static probes of the QCD plasma

open access: yes, 2011
Screening correlators and masses were studied at finite temperature in QCD with two flavours of dynamical staggered quarks on a lattice. The spectrum of screening masses show a hierarchical approach to chiral symmetry restoration.

Quantitative Assessment of Randomized DNA Base Sequences Using Multi‐Model Physical Analysis for High‐Fidelity Data Storage

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 7, 3 February 2026.
This study quantitatively evaluates randomized DNA sequence design for digital data storage using three physics‐based models. By applying encoding schemes with strict homopolymer constraints, the framework improves base randomness, GC balance, and error resilience. Experimental validation via PCR and Sanger sequencing confirms 95–98% decoding accuracy,

Development of a Fully Automated, High‐Throughput Molecular Assay for Detection of Rat Hepatitis E Virus in Routine Diagnostics

open access: yesJournal of Medical Virology, Volume 98, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Recently, cases of human infection with rat hepatitis E virus (ratHEV, Rocahepevirus ratti) have been reported worldwide. Due to the significant genetic differences between ratHEV and human HEV genotypes 1–4 (Paslahepevirus balayani), current HEV diagnostic assays are unable to detect ratHEV.

Peripheral Nerves in Cancer: Regulatory Roles and Therapeutic Strategies

open access: yesMedComm, Volume 7, Issue 2, February 2026.
The interaction between cancer cells and peripheral nerves: (1) tumor cells could induce the growth of new neural axons and constructing a neural fiber network within the tumor tissue through secreting nerve growth factors; (2) nerve‐derived bioactive molecules can induce perineural invasion of tumor and regulate the malignant phenotype of tumor, such ...
