RIPK3 Orchestrates Scar‐Associated Macrophage Dysfunction to Drive Pulmonary Fibrosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Beyond signaling cell death, RIPK3 emerges as a critical metabolic regulator in pulmonary fibrosis. This research reveals that RIPK3 promotes PI3K‐AKT signaling in scar‐associated macrophages to fuel polyamine synthesis, independent of its kinase activity.

TEACHER FEEDBACK AND LEARNERS’ UPTAKE

open access: yesLinguagem em (Dis)curso, 2003
Abstract This paper presents a study of corrective feedback and learner uptake (i.e., oral responses to feedback) in an EFL intermediate class given by a Brazilian teacher in Niterói-RJ. The transcript of this class is analysed using a model developed by Lyster and Ranta (1997) and comprising the various moves in an error treatment sequence.

Neural Fields for Highly Accelerated 2D Cine Phase Contrast MRI

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT 2D cine phase contrast (CPC) MRI provides quantitative information on blood velocity and flow within the human vasculature. However, data acquisition is time‐consuming, motivating the reconstruction of the velocity field from undersampled measurements to reduce scan times. In this work, neural fields are proposed as a continuous spatiotemporal

SMAD4 Palmitoylation Drives a Metabolic‐Transcriptional Circuit to Promote Tumorigenesis and Confers Radiosensitivity in Pancreatic Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study identifies palmitoylation as a novel regulatory modification of SMAD4, mediated by ZDHHC22/APT2. It activates fatty acid synthesis, creating a self‐reinforcing SMAD4–FASN–palmitate feedback loop that drives pancreatic cancer growth and enhances radiotherapy sensitivity.

Integrating Spatial Proteogenomics in Cancer Research

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Xx xx. ABSTRACT Background: Spatial proteogenomics marks a paradigm shift in oncology by integrating molecular analysis with spatial information from both spatial proteomics and other data modalities (e.g., spatial transcriptomics), thereby unveiling tumor heterogeneity and dynamic changes in the microenvironment.

Timed second language writing performance: effects of perceived teacher vs perceived automated feedback

open access: yesHumanities & Social Sciences Communications
Automated writing evaluation (AWE) software has received much attention by researchers and practitioners as it has the potential of reducing the time necessary for providing second language (L2) students with written corrective feedback on their writing.

CD28‐Targeted Enzyme‐Responsive Conformation‐Switching Peptide Self‐Assembly for Selective T‐Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (T‐ALL) Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed the enzyme‐responsive peptide SAp‐CD28 to selectively target CD28‐overexpressing T‐ALL cells. Following phosphatase‐mediated activation, SAp‐CD28 undergoes conformational switching and nanooligomerization, resulting in the disruption of CD28 downstream signaling.
