Teaching Graduate Teaching Assistants to Teach
American Journal of Physics, 1974A required course for graduate teaching assistants on improving the quality of instruction in the undergraduate laboratories is described. As a principal feature of the course, the graduate students improved existing laboratory experiments or developed new ones. Both self-evaluation and evaluation by faculty members were applied to the final products.

Teaching of Psychology, 1987Teaching psychology, training graduate students in teaching, and doing research on teaching are interwoven in the author's career. This article reviews significant learning experiences in my career from 1946–1986. From my experience, I have learned the importance of support from peers for students, prospective teachers, and researchers.
