Development of a Prediction Model for Progression Risk in High‐Grade Gliomas Based on Habitat Radiomics and Pathomics

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, Volume 13, Issue 6, Page 1141-1153, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Objective To investigate the value of constructing models based on habitat radiomics and pathomics for predicting the risk of progression in high‐grade gliomas. Methods This study conducted a retrospective analysis of preoperative magnetic resonance (MR) images and pathological sections from 72 patients diagnosed with high‐grade gliomas (52 ...

Association of CDKN2A/B Homozygous Deletion and Extent of Resection With Survival of Patients With WHO CNS5 Grade 4 Astrocytoma

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, Volume 13, Issue 6, Page 1258-1267, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives WHO grade 4 astrocytomas are associated with poor prognosis, and their prognostic factors remain controversial. This study aimed to identify the prognostic factors and develop a management algorithm for these patients. Methods This study retrospectively included 151 CNS5 adult grade 4 astrocytomas from two medical centers.

Biomimetic Nanovaccine Integrating Dendritic Cell Exosomes with Tumor Cell Membranes for Sustained Prophylaxis Against Glioblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 48, 15 June 2026.
We have developed DEX/GM, an all‐natural, personalizable hybrid vaccine designed by coating dendritic cell‐derived exosomes (DEX) onto tumor cell membranes (GM) for sustained prophylaxis against glioblastoma (GBM). ABSTRACT Glioblastoma (GBM), one of the most aggressive and lethal brain tumors, remains incurable with a poor clinical prognosis.

Ultrasmall Platinum Nanoparticles for Radiation‐Enhanced Cancer Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 45, 5 June 2026.
This work proposes a nanomedicine‐based strategy to enhance X‐ray radiotherapy for cancer treatment. Ultrasmall Pt‐NPs exhibit catalase‐like activity that may contribute to modulation of the tumor microenvironment and amplify interactions between radiation and biological matter, leading to increased DNA damage.

Radiotherapy and sequenzial temozolomide compared with radiotherapy with concomitant and sequenzial temozolomide in the treatment of newly diagnosed glioblastoma multifome

open access: yes, 2006
Our objective was to determine and compare effects of sequential temozolomide vs. concomitant plus sequential temozolomide with conventional radiotherapy, in patients with newly diagnosed glioblastoma multiforme, comparing two independent trials.

Engineering of Glioblastoma‐Derived Biomimetic Vesicles and Their Structural and Molecular Features

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 15, Issue 23, 19 June 2026.
ABSTRACT Biomimetic nanosystems and vesicles have arisen as a novel approach to design vesicular transport systems with diverse therapeutic potential. The ‘biomimetic’ strategy involves the integration of cell membrane components into lipid bilayers, conferring them with biological properties originating from the cell of origin. Until now, most studies

Application and advance of temozolomide in the treatment of pituitary adenomas

open access: yesChinese Journal of Contemporary Neurology and Neurosurgery, 2015
Pituitary adenoma is a common primary tumor in central nervons system. The aggressive pituitary adenomas show invasive characteristics with higher recurrence rate and worse prognosis, which normally need the comprehensive therapy of surgery ...

Biomimetic Nanoplatform for Targeted Glioblastoma Therapy via Concurrently Triggering GPX4/DHODH Mediated Ferroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 31, 4 June 2026.
Considering the great challenge in Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) treatment, the authors designed and synthesized a multifunctional nanoplatform that effectively induced ferroptosis by synergetically inhibiting intrinsic intrisinc anti‐ferroptosis proteins, GPX4 & DHODH, and realized excellent in vitro and in vivo anti‐GBM effect.

Effective sensitization of temozolomide by ABT-888 is lost with development of temozolomide resistance in glioblastoma xenograft lines

open access: yes
Resistance to temozolomide and radiotherapy is a major problem for patients with glioblastoma but may be overcome using the poly(ADP-ribose) polymerase inhibitor ABT-888.
