Green Compact Temperature Evolution during Current-Activated Tip-Based Sintering (CATS) of Nickel

open access: yesMetals, 2013
Current-activated tip-based sintering (CATS) is a novel process where spark plasma sintering conditions are applied through an electrically conducting tip on a locally controlled area on a green powder compact/bed. The localization of electric current in

Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Finite-Element Model Based Distribution Calculations of Current and Temperature within a DC Overhead Catenary

open access: yesВестник Научно-исследовательского института железнодорожного транспорта, 2015
There is proposed finite-element model of current/temperature distribution in a DC overhead catenary and are described basic principles of its generation.

In vitro properties of patient serum predict clinical outcome after high dose rate brachytherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Following high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR‐BT) for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), patients were classified as responders and nonresponders. Post‐therapy serum induced increased BrdU incorporation and Cyclin E expression of Huh7 and HepG2 cells in nonresponders, but decreased levels in responders.

Research on Dynamic Reduced‐Order Model for Fast Calculation of Transient Temperature Field in Transformer Windings

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications
To mitigate the potential loss of computational accuracy in the Reduced‐Order Model (ROM) due to modal changes during transformer operation, this paper proposes a dynamic updating method for the ROM.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Structural optimisation of oil immersed transformer winding block washers based on WOA‐DRBF surrogate model optimisation strategy

open access: yesIET Electric Power Applications
In order to reduce the transformer winding hot spot temperature (HST), a dynamic radial basis function surrogate model optimisation strategy is proposed to optimise the structure of the forced oil circulation transformer winding's block washers in this ...

Design Optimization of Direct Combustion Process in Regenerative Thermal Oxidizer at Low Concentration of Coal Mine Gas Using Advanced Computational Models

open access: yesFluids
Coal mine gas with methane concentrations below 8% cannot sustain stable self-combustion, posing significant challenges for safe utilization and greenhouse gas mitigation.

Numerical simulation of exciton dynamics in Cu2O at ultra low temperatures within a potential trap

open access: yes, 2012
We have studied theoretically the relaxation behaviour of excitons in cuprous oxide (Cu2O) at ultra low temperatures when excitons are confined within a potential trap by solving numerically the Boltzmann equation.

Predictors of response and rational combinations for the novel MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665 in acute myeloid leukemia

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study characterizes the responses of primary acute myeloid leukemia (AML) patient samples to the MCL‐1 inhibitor MIK665. The results revealed that monocytic differentiation is associated with MIK665 sensitivity. Conversely, elevated ABCB1 expression is a potential biomarker of resistance to the treatment, which can be overcome by the combination ...
