Breast cancer remains a major cause of cancer death in women, frequently developing endocrine therapy resistance. This study demonstrates that upregulated p21‐activated kinase 1 (PAK1) activity drives resistance to tamoxifen and long‐term estrogen deprivation in ER+ breast cancer models.

Matched spatial transcriptomics and single‐nuclei RNA‐seq were generated for anaplastic and BRAFV600E papillary thyroid cancers revealing generic and tumor‐specific states occurring in cancer cells and in the tumor microenvironment. In this context, cancer dedifferentiation mirrored organoid maturation through ordered thyroid marker gain/loss ...

Temperature Fluctuation‐Driven Salt Crystallization in Salt Lakes and Nearby Sands—Lab Emulations
Salt crystallization is common in nature. While evaporation‐driven salt crystallization is well studied, crystallization driven by temperature fluctuation has received less attention.

The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

An approach to the analysis of temperature fluctuation in two-phase flow
In this paper the temperature fluctuation measurements in two-phase system were analysed. Supposing that the temperature is a random variable, the assumption was that the resulting measurement of the temperature fluctuation in two-phase system can be ...

Circulating microRNAs as biomarkers of cachexia and sex‐specific cancer in senior dogs. In 25 client‐owned dogs, four circulating miRNAs (miR‐15a, miR‐15b, miR‐16, miR‐140) were downregulated in cachexia, with miR‐16 the strongest individual biomarker (AUC = 0.899).

On pooling networks and fluctuation in suboptimal detection framework
Motivated by biological neural networks and distributed sensing networks, we study how pooling networks – or quantizers – with random thresholds can be used in detection tasks.

Temperature dependence of fluctuation time scales in spin glasses
Udgivelsesdato: 2010Using a series of fast cooling protocols we have probed aging effects in the spin glass state as a function of temperature. Analyzing the logarithmic decay found at very long time scales within a simple phenomenological barrier model,

LUNAR is a liver‐specific long noncoding RNA (lncRNA) that is highly expressed in normal liver but becomes epigenetically silenced in hepatocellular carcinoma through promoter hypermethylation. Loss of LUNAR is associated with NOTCH activation, epithelial–mesenchymal transition, and metastasis, whereas restoring LUNAR restrains metastatic progression ...
