Rescaled Range Analysis and Detrended Fluctuation Analysis: Finite Sample Properties and Confidence Intervals [PDF]

open access: yes
We focus on finite sample properties of two mostly used methods of Hurst exponent H estimation—rescaled range analysis (R/S) and detrended fluctuation analysis (DFA).

Analysis of heat exchanger network for temperature fluctuation

open access: yes, 2015
Subject to temperature disturbance, exchangers in heat exchanger network will interact. It is necessary to evaluate the degree of temperature fluctuation in the network.

IMPDH inhibition enhances cytarabine efficacy in SAMHD1‐expressing leukaemia cells via guanine nucleotide depletion

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Cytarabine is a key therapy for acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but its efficacy is limited by the dNTPase SAMHD1, which hydrolyses its active metabolite. Screening nucleotide biosynthesis inhibitors revealed that IMPDH inhibitors selectively sensitise SAMHD1‐proficient AML cells to cytarabine.

Measurement Error in Thermoelectric Generator Induced by Temperature Fluctuation

open access: yesEnergies
The thermal-electric conversion efficiency is a crucial metric for evaluating the performance of a thermoelectric generator (TEG). However, accurate measurement of this efficiency remains a significant challenge due to various factors that impact heat ...

KDM7A and KDM1A inhibition suppresses tumour promoting pathways in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Treatment resistance is a major challenge for patients with advanced prostate cancer. This study examined an alternative approach to target the major prostate cancer‐promoting pathway by targeting epigenetic factors, whose levels are higher in tumours.

Investigation of flow phenomena to prevent thermal fatigue in a mixing tee of hot and cold water (Utilization of dynamic mode decomposition for numerical simulation results)

open access: yesNihon Kikai Gakkai ronbunshu
A numerical simulation of conjugate heat transfer was conducted to analyze the thermal mixing phenomenon at a T-junction, with a specific focus on the reverse flow from the main pipe into the branch pipe.
