Dynamic Kerr effect responses in the terahertz range [PDF]
Dynamic Kerr effect measurements provide a simple realization of a nonlinear experiment. We propose a field-off experiment where an electric field of one or several sinusoidal cycles with frequency Ω is applied to a sample in thermal equilibrium. Afterwards, the evolution of the polarizability is measured.

Broadband Terahertz Detection by Laser Plasma with Balanced Optical Bias
Using a controlled optical bias and balanced geometry, we propose a new scheme for broadband terahertz detection by laser-gas interaction without high-voltage manipulation. Compared to the conventional optical bias scheme, the common noise is reduced and

Suspended Tunnel Junction Bolometers For Terahertz Range [PDF]
Implementation of high resolution passive THz cameras operated at cryogenic temperatures of a few Kelvin benefits from a large number of pixels. At present, building a cryogenic multiplexed read-out circuit represents a challenging task. Here we propose and demonstrate broadband niobium-based tunnel junction bolometers operating in equilibrium regime ...

A Compact Broadband Terahertz Range Quarter-Wave Plate [PDF]
We detail the design and characterization of a terahertz range achromatic quarter-wave plate based on a stack of aligned variable thickness birefringent sapphire discs. The disc thicknesses and relative rotations of the discs are determined through a basin-hopping Monte Carlo thermal annealing routine.
