Testicular teratocarcinoma associated with testicular microlithiasis

Abdominal Imaging, 2007
Key words: Testicular microlithiasis—Ultrasonography—Teratocarcinoma of testes—Paraorticlymphadenopathy—TesticleTesticular microlithiasis (TM) is an uncommon condi-tion characterized by calcium deposits within the semi-niferous tubules. The ultrasonographic appearance wasfirst described by Doherty et al. [1].

Chromosomal proteins of mouse teratocarcinoma cells

Journal of Cellular Physiology, 1982
We have analyzed chromosomal proteins extracted from murine teratocarcinoma-derived stem cell lines (F9 and 12-1) and from their differentiated derivatives (12-1a) because of the differential sensitivity to DNase I digestion of these two cell types. The chromosomal DNA of stem cells is more sensitive to DNase I digestion than that of differentiated ...

Intraperitoneal growth pattern of murine teratocarcinomas

Experientia, 1979
Ascitic teratocarcinomas showed a unique growth pattern, suggesting size regulation in the peritoneal cavity of syngeneic 129/Sv mice.

Metastatic Ovarian Teratocarcinoma in a Horse

Journal of Comparative Pathology, 2020
A 3-year-old Quarter Horse mare presented with an approximate 1-month history of progressive weight loss, anorexia and lethargy that abruptly worsened 48 h before death. Post-mortem examination revealed free flocculent fluid and a large mass within the ventral abdomen that dorsally displaced the caecum and large intestine.

Cytology of experimental teratomas and teratocarcinomas

Experientia, 1975

Sacrococcygeal teratoma and teratocarcinoma

Seminars in Colon and Rectal Surgery, 2004
Although relatively rare, teratomas represent the most common neoplasm of the newborn period and the sacrococcygeal position is the most frequent extragonadal site. Teratomas are tumors that contain elements derived from more than one of the embryonic germ layers and generally all three.

[6] Mouse teratocarcinoma cells

1987
Publisher Summary This chapter describes methods necessary to (l) maintain stem cells in an undifferentiated state in culture, (2) induce the cells to differentiate under controlled conditions, (3) isolate new stem-cell lines directly from embryos, and (4) introduce genes by transfection or infection into embryonal carcinoma (EC) cells.

Epimutations in teratocarcinoma development

2011
Testicular germ cell tumors (TGCT) are the most frequent cancers in young men. Present study takes advantage of the experimental mouse teratocarcinoma (TCa) model, a powerful tool for detecting /monitoring alterations, including epigenetic disruptions, during a timeframe of cancer development in vivo.

Teratocarcinoma stem cells.

Cancer surveys, 1991
Human teratocarcinomas or mixed germ cell tumours are histologically composed of diverse tissues corresponding to somatic and extraembryonic (trophoblastic and yolk sac) like cells, as well as malignant stem cells. In typical teratocarcinomas these stem cells correspond to embryonal carcinoma cells, ie developmentally pluripotent cells equivalent to ...
