Acute Encephalopathy in a Patient With Chronic Isotretinoin Exposure and Frequent Rizatriptan Use: A Case Report

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Acute encephalopathy in patients with prolonged isotretinoin exposure should prompt careful assessment of undisclosed or non‐prescribed medication use. This case suggests a possible association between high cumulative isotretinoin exposure, frequent daily rizatriptan use, and acute encephalopathy, but does not establish a definitive drug–drug ...

Early Pre‐Rupture Diagnosis of Live Heterotopic Pregnancy Using Transvaginal Ultrasound, With Successful Laparoscopic Management and Preservation of the Intrauterine Pregnancy

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 8, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Heterotopic pregnancy, though rare, should be suspected in early pregnancy with abdominal pain or bleeding, even when an intrauterine pregnancy is confirmed. Prompt transvaginal ultrasound and timely laparoscopic management are essential to prevent life‐threatening complications and preserve the intrauterine pregnancy.

The Immuno‐Cardiovascular Storm of Pre‐Eclampsia: Cytokine‐Mediated Endothelial Injury, Thrombosis, and Maternal Cardiovascular Instability

open access: yesComprehensive Physiology, Volume 16, Issue 4, August 2026.
Placental ischemia in pre‐eclampsia initiates cytokine‐driven endothelial dysfunction, angiogenic imbalance, oxidative stress, and thromboinflammation. Elevated TNF‐α, IL‐6, IL‐17, sFlt‐1, and complement activation promote vasoconstriction, thrombosis, and cardiovascular instability.

Timing of conception after methotrexate and subsequent pregnancy outcomes: A retrospective cohort study

open access: yesInternational Journal of Gynecology &Obstetrics, Volume 174, Issue 2, Page 1061-1069, August 2026.
Abstract Objective Methotrexate is widely used to treat ectopic pregnancy (EP). Concerns about its teratogenicity have led to uncertainty regarding the optimal interval before attempting conception. Guidelines recommend a 3‐month washout period, while the manufacturer advises 6 months. Evidence on the safety of early conception is limited.
