Relationship of Sleep Quality with Short-Term Memory and Reaction Time in First Year Medical Students of Diponegoro University

open access: yesJurnal Kedokteran Diponegoro, 2021
Background: Sleep disturbance is a disorder that includes a lack of quantity and quality of sleep. Students, especially medical students, have a high risk of getting sleep disorders of poor sleep quality and quantity.

MOZAIC Time-Term Analysis [PDF]

open access: yesGeophysical Journal International, 1976
Summary The time-term approach to the interpretation of refraction travel-time data is extended to deal with observation systems which are not, at first sight, suitable for time-term analysis. This so-called MOZAIC method is based on the premise that there exist areas of equal delay time to any refractor and that the distribution of such areas can ...

An Adaptive Management Model for Brown Bears in Hokkaido: Based on Total Population and the Number of Nuisance Bears

open access: yesPopulation Ecology, EarlyView.
Bear management changes management actions according to the horizontal axis of the population size and the vertical axis of the number of nuisance bears. Aiming for the target population size of Ntar, Actions I and II protect the bears, and Action IV reduces the population.

Application of local meshless method for the solution of two term time fractional-order multi-dimensional PDE arising in heat and mass transfer

open access: yesThermal Science, 2020
In this article, we presented an efficient local meshless method for the numerical treatment of two term time fractional-order multi-dimensional diffusion PDE.

Speciation Through the Lens of Population Dynamics: A Theoretical Primer on How Small and Large Populations Diverge

open access: yesPopulation Ecology, EarlyView.
Population size and dynamics fundamentally shape speciation by influencing genetic drift, founder events, and adaptive potential. Small populations may speciate rapidly due to stronger drift, whereas large populations harbor more genetic diversity, which can alter divergence trajectories. We highlight theoretical models that incorporate population size

Time‐Dependent Impact of Sex on the Long‐Term Outcomes After Left Main Revascularization

open access: yesJournal of the American Heart Association: Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease, 2022
Background There are still limited data about the differential effect of sex on long‐term outcomes after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) or coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) for left main coronary artery disease.

Numerical solution of two-term time-fractional PDE models arising in mathematical physics using local meshless method

open access: yesOpen Physics, 2020
Multi-term time-fractional partial differential equations (PDEs) have become a hot topic in the field of mathematical physics and are used to improve the modeling accuracy in the description of anomalous diffusion processes compared to the single-term ...

Insights into PI3K/AKT signaling in B cell development and chronic lymphocytic leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This Review explores how the phosphoinositide 3‐kinase and protein kinase B pathway shapes B cell development and drives chronic lymphocytic leukemia, a common blood cancer. It examines how signaling levels affect disease progression, addresses treatment challenges, and introduces novel experimental strategies to improve therapies and patient outcomes.

‘Individual sovereignty’ in pandemic times – A contradiction in terms?

open access: yesPolitical Geography, 2021
During the Covid-19 pandemic, appeals to ‘individual sovereignty’ have brought together a wide range of political actors across Europe, united in their rejection of face masks, ‘social distancing’, and other forms of state-imposed regulation of behavior and mobility.

The cytoskeletal control of B cell receptor and integrin signaling in normal B cells and chronic lymphocytic leukemia

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In lymphoid organs, antigen recognition and B cell receptor signaling rely on integrins and the cytoskeleton. Integrins act as mechanoreceptors, couple B cell receptor activation to cytoskeletal remodeling, and support immune synapse formation as well as antigen extraction.
