Multi-valued Logic Gates for Quantum Computation [PDF]
We develop a multi-valued logic for quantum computing for use in multi-level quantum systems, and discuss the practical advantages of this approach for scaling up a quantum computer.

Some properties of asymmetric Hopfield neural networks with finite time of transition between states
There were implemented samples of asymmetric Hopfield neural networks which have finite time of transition from one state to another. It was shown that in such systems, various oscillation modes could occur.

Organotitania‐Based Nanostructures as a Suitable Platform for the Implementation of Binary, Ternary, and Fuzzy Logic Systems [PDF]
AbstractTitanium dioxide nanocomposites were synthesized in hierarchical architectures through the use of a 1,4‐dihydroxyanthraquinone photosensitizer. In the first step, the dye was either incorporated into the TiO2 core or adsorbed on its surface. In the subsequent phase, both structures were covered with an outer layer of titanium dioxide.

On the optimality of ternary arithmetic for compactness and hardware design
In this paper, the optimality of ternary arithmetic is investigated under strict mathematical formulation. The arithmetic systems are presented in generic form, as the means to encode numeric values, and the choice of radix is asserted as the main ...

Booming VLSI technology has graciously facilitated down-scaling dimensions of on-chip devices and interconnects in integrated circuits (ICs) to nano-miniaturized scale. However, at nano-dimensions where added benefits of scaling are constrained by associated highly-dense on-chip nano-interconnect structures, their electro-migration effects and several ...

The language of Stratified Sets is confluent and strongly normalising [PDF]
We study the properties of the language of Stratified Sets (first-order logic with $\in$ and a stratification condition) as used in TST, TZT, and (with stratifiability instead of stratification) in Quine's NF.

High-Performance and Energy-Efficient CNFET-Based Designs for Ternary Logic Circuits
Recently, the demand for portable electronics and embedded systems has increased. These devices need low-power circuit designs because they depend on batteries as an energy resource.
