Advanced Science, EarlyView.Breast cancer cells undergo metabolic and transcriptomic reprogramming to support aberrant cell proliferation. Their mitochondria rely on the transfer of phosphatidylcholine from the endoplasmic reticulum to their membranes by STARD7, a candidate upregulated in breast cancer, to be functional.
