Influence of agricultural machinery on the potential realization of winter hard wheat yield

open access: yesНовые технологии, 2021
The article is devoted to the problem of choosing agricultural machinery, as productive potential of plants depends on its effective operation. The correct choice of parameters and modes of agricultural machinery is the fundamental paradigm for solving ...

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

High Humidity Grain Periodic Drying

open access: yesСельскохозяйственные машины и технологии, 2018
Grain of high humidity, as a rule, is characterized by the excessive non-homogeneity of this indicator. (Purpose of research) Calculation and experimental verification of the handling capacity of the grain drying facility with the original unaltered ...

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

A Closure Contact Model of Self-Affine Rough Surfaces Considering Small-, Meso-, and Large-Scale Stage Without Adhesive

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
Contact interface is essential for the dynamic response of the bolted structures. To accurately predict the dynamic characteristics of bolted joint structures, a fractal extension of the segmented scale model, i.e., the JK model, is proposed in this ...

Two cosine wave elastic-plastic contact model

open access: yesScience Progress, 2020
Based on Hertz elastic contact theory, the contact mechanics model of two cosine wave is established. The mechanical characteristics of the model in the elastic, elastic-plastic, and plastic stages were studied.

Peel resistance of adhesive bonds accurately measured [PDF]

open access: yes, 1965
Strength of adhesive bond between layers of laminated material is tested by peel force to the facing with a tensile testing machine. Testing jig has stainless steel rollers which constrain material to move horizontally while maintaining free end of ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Testing from a nondeterministic finite state machine using adaptive state counting [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The problem of generating a checking experiment from a nondeterministic finite state machine has been represented in terms of state counting. However, test techniques that use state counting traditionally produce preset test suites.
