Adalimumab‐loaded poly(lactic‐co‐glycolic acid) nanoparticles are developed to improve biodistribution and targeted delivery for inflammatory eye diseases. The system demonstrates favorable physicochemical properties, high encapsulation efficiency, sustained release, and minimal cytotoxicity.

Use of sodium hyaluronate subdermal injection for treatment of upper eyelid entropion in a rabbit

Abstract A 2‐year‐9‐month‐old, male, neutered, Dutch rabbit was diagnosed with bilateral epiphora, upper eyelid entropion, secondary trichiasis and superficial corneal ulceration. Corneal healing was delayed until temporary upper eyelid eversion with Histoacryl®. Once this dissolved, entropion and corneal ulceration re‐occurred.

Ref‐1 redox activity regulates retinal neovascularization by modulating transcriptional activation of HIF‐1α

Activation of transcription factors such as HIF‐1α underlie retinal neovascularization, a hallmark of proliferative diabetic retinopathy (PDR). Ref‐1 regulates HIF‐1α by reducing cysteine residues on HIF‐1α, allowing it to bind to hypoxia‐response elements (HRE) and promote the transcription of pro‐angiogenic target genes.
