FitTetra 2.0 – improved genotype calling for tetraploids with multiple population and parental data support

open access: yesBMC Bioinformatics, 2019
Genetic studies in tetraploids are lagging behind in comparison with studies of diploids as the complex genetics of tetraploids require much more elaborated computational methodologies.

Characteristics of SP600125 Induced Tetraploid Cells in Comparison With Diploid and Tetraploid Cells of Fish [PDF]

open access: yesFrontiers in Genetics, 2021
In our previous research, SP600125 (Anthrapyrazolone) was used to induce autotetraploid of crucian carp cells (SP4N cells), and tetraploid fry was generated from the SP4N cells by somatic cell nuclear transfer technique. However, it is still unclear about biological characteristics of the SP4N cells.

Multiple haploids, triploids, and tetraploids found in modern-day “living fossil” Ginkgo biloba

open access: yesHorticulture Research, 2018
Ginkgo biloba, the last extant representative of a lineage of Mesozoic gymnosperms, is one of the few seed plants with an exceptionally long (~300 Myr) evolutionary history free of genome-wide duplications (polyploidy).

Apple Autotetraploids—Phenotypic Characterisation and Response to Drought Stress

open access: yesAgronomy, 2022
Polyploidization is an important source of variability for plant breeding. Polyploids are often characterised by increased resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses.

Restricted Distribution of Tetraploid Cells in Mouse Tetraploid ↔ Diploid Chimaeras

open access: yesDevelopmental Biology, 1995
Tetraploid mouse embryos were produced by electrofusion at the 2-cell stage, cultured overnight, and aggregated with normal diploid embryos to produce tetraploiddiploid (4n2n) chimaeric conceptuses. At 7 1/2 days the 4n2n chimaeras were usually smaller and developmentally retarded compared to control diploiddiploid chimaeras.

Variation of Chromosome Composition in a Full-Sib Population Derived From 2x × 3x Interploidy Cross of Populus

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2022
Interploidy cross commonly results in complex chromosome number and structural variations. In our previous study, a progeny with segregated ploidy levels was produced by an interploidy cross between diploid female parent Populus tomentosa × Populus ...

Induction of Tetraploids in Impatiens (Impatiens walleriana) and Characterization of Their Changes in Morphology and Resistance to Downy Mildew

open access: yesHortscience, 2018
Garden impatiens (Impatiens walleriana), a very important floricultural crop in the United States, has been devastated by impatiens downy mildew (IDM) in recent years.

Cytogenetic relationships between some species of Setaria L.(Poaceae) [PDF]

open access: yesTaeckholmia, 2002
Mitotic karyotype structure, meiotic behavior, pollen characteristics and seed setting of six species of genus Setariawere investigated in six species of Setaria L. Setaria verticillata, S. italica, S.viridis and S. glauca were found diploid(2n = 18) and
