Fundamental Solution of Laplace's Equation in Hyperspherical Geometry
Due to the isotropy of d-dimensional hyperspherical space, one expects there to exist a spherically symmetric fundamental solution for its corresponding Laplace-Beltrami operator.

A Comprehensive Study on the Zeros of the Two-Parameter Mittag-Leffler Function [PDF]
The Mittag-Leffler function appears as an analytical solution of some fractional differential equations. The behavior of the zeros of the Mittag-Leffler function, especially their asymptotic distribution, plays a fundamental role in the study of ...

An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

Plasma membranes contain dynamic nanoscale domains that organize lipids and receptors. Because viruses operate at similar scales, this architecture shapes early infection steps, including attachment, receptor engagement, and entry. Using influenza A virus and HIV‐1 as examples, we highlight how receptor nanoclusters, multivalent glycan interactions ...

Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

LIBERTY, SECURITY AND THE DEGENERATIVE CYCLE OF DEMOCRACY [PDF]
Unfortunately, modern liberals have long misrepresented and misused the foundational principles of liberalism, in order to claim that the fundamental function of every democratic state is the pursuit of its citizens’ liberty, as well as to viciously ...

Biophysical approaches for studying viral entry
Viruses infect all living organisms and have been responsible for major epidemics and pandemics. Their ongoing evolutionary battle with host defenses creates a constant need for improved tools to study viral behavior. Advancing methods to probe viral attachment, fusion, and genome release deepen our understanding of how infections begin and support the

The human gut microbiome across the life course
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.
