Structural Volatility Impulse Response Analysis

open access: yesJournal of Financial Econometrics
Abstract We make three contributions to the volatility impulse response function (VIRF) developed by Hafner and Herwartz (2006). First, we derive its law for multivariate GARCH models of the BEKK type. Second, we present a structural embedding of the VIRF, leveraging recent advancements in the identification of multivariate generalized ...

Inhibition of cyclin‐dependent kinases 12/13 using CT7439 as a treatment for colorectal cancer with CDK12 upregulation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The proposed mechanism of action for the CDK12/13 inhibitor and cyclin K degrader, CT7439. CDK12/13 inhibition interrupts transcription elongation, leading to increased DNA damage that results in cell death. This agent is a potentially novel treatment option for patients with colorectal cancer. Created in BioRender. Cyclin‐dependent kinase (CDK) 12 and

Transient Dynamic Analysis of a Cantilever Rod with Axial Impulse Loading Using Finite Element Method

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2018
The behavior of bodies subjected to impulse loading is of prime importance in the study of forces that occur in impulse facilities. Before performing the actual tests, theoretical and numerical simulations are carried out to obtain the response of bodies

In vitro and in silico modelling of ROS1‐positive non‐small cell lung cancer reveals fusion‐dependent tyrosine kinase inhibitor responses

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Drug resistance limits treatment success in a subset of lung cancers driven by ROS1 gene alterations. Using patient‐derived cells and computer simulations, we studied three key mutations and how they affect five targeted drugs. The mutations reduced drug effectiveness in different ways by altering protein structure and behavior.

The market impact of a limit order [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Despite their importance in modern electronic trading, virtually no systematic empirical evidence on the market impact of incoming orders is existing.

Extended Use for the Frequency Response Analysis: Switching Impulse Voltage Based Preliminary Diagnosis of Potential Sources of Partial Discharges in Transformer

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2020
The Frequency Response Analysis approach (FRA) is useful in the fault diagnosis of transformers. However, its usefulness in diagnosing any potential sources of Partial Discharge (PD) in transformers has not been thoroughly investigated so far.

ZW4864‐mediated inhibition of the β‐catenin/BCL9/BCL9L complex reveals therapeutic potential in bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
BCL9 and BCL9L drive bladder cancer progression by enhancing β‐catenin signaling, promoting proliferation, migration, invasion, and organoid growth. Genetic depletion of BCL9(L) suppresses malignant phenotypes, while pharmacological disruption of the β‐catenin/BCL9(L) complex with ZW4864 inhibits canonical Wnt signaling and tumor‐associated cellular ...

Mycobacterial cell division arrest and smooth‐to‐rough envelope transition using CRISPRi‐mediated genetic repression systems

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing and phenotypic exploration in nontuberculous mycobacteria. In this Research Protocol, we describe approaches to control, monitor, and quantitatively assess CRISPRI‐mediated gene silencing in M. smegmatis and M. abscessus model organisms.

Model-Free Impulse Responses [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper introduces methods for computing impulse response functions that do not require specification and estimation of the unknown dynamic multivariate system itself.
