Childhood cognitive control as a predictor of long‐term clinical and functional outcomes in Tourette syndrome

open access: yesJournal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry, Volume 67, Issue 9, Page 1525-1536, September 2026.
Background Tourette syndrome (TS) is a childhood‐onset neuropsychiatric condition characterized by motor and vocal tics. Better 10‐Year Cerebrovascular Outcome After Transplant Than on Standard‐Care in Sickle Cell Anemia: DREPAGREFFE Trial

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Hematology, Volume 101, Issue 8, Page 1799-1817, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Management of cerebral vasculopathy in sickle cell anemia (SCA) includes standard‐care, that is, chronic transfusion (CT) or hydroxyurea, and hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT). DREPAGREFFE‐1 (December 2010/June 2013), a French multicenter trial, was the first prospective trial comparing standard‐care to match sibling donor (MSD)‐HCT in ...

Visit‐to‐visit systolic blood pressure variability, blood pressure treatment intensity, and cognitive decline

open access: yesAlzheimer's &Dementia, Volume 22, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract INTRODUCTION Visit‐to‐visit blood pressure variability (BPV) may be associated with cognitive decline beyond mean blood pressure (BP), but its relevance across treatment contexts remains uncertain. Mapping the Phenotypic Spectrum of Occipital Lobe Epilepsy: A SEEG‐Defined Network Classification

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 8, August 2026.
This SEEG‐based study identifies four propagation patterns in occipital lobe epilepsy (restricted, ventral–limbic, dorsal/DMN–limbic, and lateral TPOJ) linked to five clinical phenotypes. Seizure semiology is shaped by pathway‐selective propagation rather than the onset zone alone, providing a network‐based framework for personalized surgical planning.

Accelerated Biological Aging, Neurodegenerative Disease, and Mortality in Cardiovascular Disease Patients: Mediation and Modification Analysis

open access: yesCNS Neuroscience &Therapeutics, Volume 32, Issue 8, August 2026.
In cardiovascular disease (CVD) patients, accelerated biological aging is independently associated with elevated mortality risk, which is mediated by neurodegenerative disease. Early‐onset CVD amplifies the mortality risk, whereas a healthy lifestyle confers partial protection.
