DasDiels-Alder-Addukt Thebain—Maleinimid wurde auf verschiedenen Wegen hergestellt. Substitution am Imidstickstoff durch Alkylhalogenide lieferte die entsprechenden N-Alkylderivate und durch Bromessigsaureathylester die entsprechende N-Carbathoxymethylverbindung. Aminolyse dieses Esters fuhrte zu einer Reihe von Amiden.
