Probing the spin correlations of $$t{\bar{t}} $$ t t ¯ production at NLO QCD+EW
In this work we investigate the NLO QCD+EW corrections to the top quark pair production and their effects on the spin correlation coefficients and asymmetries at fixed-order top quark pair production and LO decay in the dilepton channel, within the ...

Modeling theoretical uncertainties in phenomenological analyses for particle physics [PDF]
The determination of the fundamental parameters of the Standard Model (and its extensions) is often limited by the presence of statistical and theoretical uncertainties. We present several models for the latter uncertainties (random, nuisance, external) in the frequentist framework, and we derive the corresponding $p$-values.

We compute the two-loop QCD corrections to amplitudes for processes gg → Hg, qg → Hq and qq¯→Hg $$ q\overline{q}\to Hg $$ in the limit when the Higgs transverse momentum is larger than the top quark mass, p ⊥ ≫ m t .

Theoretical Studies in Elementary Particle Physics [PDF]
This final report summarizes work at Penn State University from June 1, 1990 to April 30, 2012. The work was in theoretical elementary particle physics. Many new results in perturbative QCD, in string theory, and in related areas were obtained, with a substantial impact on the experimental program.

Impact of string interactions on the space–time evolution of hadronic vertices
We investigate the space–time picture of string evolution and hadron production in a fully string-based model for high energy collisions involving heavy-ions.

Theoretical particle physics [PDF]
My research in lattice gauge theory during the past year is described. Several projects were completed dealing with QCD simulations including dynamical fermions. Under the DOE Grand Challenge program, a large scale calculation of the QCD spectrum with two light flavors of dynamical staggered quarks was carried out.

Electroweak baryogenesis above the electroweak scale
Conventional scenarios of electroweak (EW) baryogenesis are strongly constrained by experimental searches for CP violation beyond the SM. We propose an alternative scenario where the EW phase transition and baryogenesis occur at temperatures of the order

Subleading EW corrections and spin-correlation effects in $$t\bar{t}W$$ tt¯W multi-lepton signatures
Recently a slight tension between data and predictions has been reported in $$t\bar{t}W$$ tt¯W production by both the CMS and ATLAS collaborations. We revisit the theoretical predictions for this process, focussing on the following two effects.
