This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Architectural Principles for Characterizing the Performance of Antithetic Integral Feedback Networks
Summary: As we begin to design increasingly complex synthetic biomolecular systems, it is essential to develop rational design methodologies that yield predictable circuit performance.

On the definition of a theoretical concept of an operating system [PDF]
We dwell on how a definition of a theoretical concept of an operating system, suitable to be incorporated in a mathematical theory of operating systems, could look like.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Laplace-Stieltjes transform of the system mean lifetime via geometric process model
Operation principle of the engineering systems occupies an important role in the reliability theory. In most of the studies, the reliability function of the system is obtained analytically according to the structure of the system.

A survey of self-healing systems frameworks
Rising complexity within multi-tier computing architectures remains an open problem. As complexity increases, so do the costs associated with operating and maintaining systems within these environments.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.
