Investigation of chemical composition, biological value and safety of walleye pollock Theragra chalcogramma from Peter the Great Bay

open access: yesИзвестия ТИНРО, 2015
Data on chemical composition, biological value and safety are presented for muscle tissue and internal organs of walleye pollock Theragra chalcogramma caught in Peter the Great Bay (Japan Sea). The meat of рollock in any biological state has high protein

Basis for calculating technological parameters of preparation of minced salted fish products of intermediate moisture with specified physical and chemical characteristics [PDF]

open access: yesVestnik MGTU, 2016
The dependence of water activity on basic physical and chemical characteristics of salted fish products with intermediate moisture has been defined. During the research the product quality has been assessed by the organoleptic method; determination of ...

Foraging responses of black-legged kittiwakes to prolonged food-shortages around colonies on the Bering Sea shelf. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2014
We hypothesized that changes in southeastern Bering Sea foraging conditions for black-legged kittiwakes (Rissa tridactyla) have caused shifts in habitat use with direct implications for population trends.

Distribution and abundance of walleye pollock Theragra chalcogramma in the northwestern Bering Sea in the summer-fall period of 2020 and their interannual variability

open access: yesИзвестия ТИНРО, 2023
Spatial distribution and abundance of walleye pollock are considered for the northwestern Bering Sea in the summer-fall of 2020 on the data of echo-integration trawl-acoustic survey. The pollock aggregated mostly in the shelf areas with positive or close

Secondary sexual characteristics in codfishes (Gadidae) in relation to sound production, habitat use, and social behaviour [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Little is known about the reproductive biology of the codfishes (Gadidae). Lacking direct observations, the study of secondary sexual characteristics can provide cues to their reproductive biology and behaviour.

Some aspects of biology and fishery of walleye pollock Theragra chalcogramma in the southwestern Chukchi Sea relative to the size and age structure

open access: yesИзвестия ТИНРО, 2022
Catch distribution and size-age structure of walleye pollock in the Chukchi Sea are considered on the data obtained in surveys conducted by TINRO in 2018–2020. The age of pollock was determined by otoliths.

Muscle Contraction Time of Captured Walleye Pollock Theragra chalcogramma.

open access: yesNIPPON SUISAN GAKKAISHI, 1991
The muscle twitch contraction time of Walleye pollock Theragra chalcogramma was measured in relation to fish size and muscle temperature, on board a Northern trawler in the Okhotsk Sea. The contraction time was defined as the time period from the electric pulse of 2ms wide and 5-20V, to the peak of muscle twitch contraction.
