反応により原料が生成物に変換される時には, 熱の発生または吸収が観測される。 この熱は, 原料と生成物のエンタルピーや内部エネルギーの差に相当する。 反応に伴う熱は, 反応機構の解明や反応装置の設計において重要であり, これを予測するためには, エンタルピーや内部エネルギーなどの熱物性を正確に評価しなければいけない。 ここでは, 最近, 水和物の解離エンタルピーを測定するために開発された熱量計について詳細に解説するとともに, その他いくつかの反応熱測定装置についても報告する。

Laser ablation in liquid enables nanoparticle synthesis from diverse materials but remains less energy‐efficient than ablation in air. This study quantifies the absorption‐corrected ablation efficiency and experimentally confirms redeposition as the key loss mechanism using pump‐probe microscopy.

The performance of machine learning models for classifying polymer solubility improves when a high‐fidelity experimental dataset is used compared to a low‐fidelity experimental dataset. This study validates a recycling pathway for converting interconnect assemblies from end‐of‐life SOC stacks into commercial‐grade AISI 304 steels. Using scrap‐based steelmaking operations, austenitic cast steels with <4.0% δ‐ferrite are successfully produced.
