ABSTRACT Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a known risk factor for hypercalcemia in cats. Phosphate‐restricted diets have also been implicated in causing hypercalcemia, in part because phosphate restriction increases the Ca:P ratio. Multi‐Omics Signatures of Periodontitis and Periodontal Therapy on the Oral and Gut Microbiome
This multi‐omics study integrates shotgun metagenomics and NMR metabolomics to reveal coordinated microbial and metabolic signatures of periodontitis across the oral–gut axis. Non‐surgical periodontal therapy partially restored ecological and functional balance, supporting oral health as a modifiable driver of systemic microbial homeostasis.

Across all population and sociodemographic groups in the Philippines, diets lacked diversity and intakes of fruit and vegetables were low. Under‐ and overnutrition are persisting challenges. Rigorous evidence from interventions to improve diet quality and fruit and vegetable intake in the Philippines is urgently needed.
