Nanomedicine Targeting Macrophage Immunometabolism in Atherosclerosis: Mechanisms and Therapeutic Prospects

open access: yesOrgan Medicine, Volume 3, Issue 1, Page 27-53, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Atherosclerosis, a chronic inflammatory–metabolic disorder, remains a leading cause of cardiovascular morbidity worldwide. This review explores the emerging paradigm of nanomedicine‐based targeting of macrophage immunometabolic reprogramming as a potentially transformative strategy for atherosclerosis treatment.

ZmTH1 Is Vital for Healthy Plant Growth and Promotes Cold/Drought Tolerance by Regulating Thiamin Diphosphate‐Dependent Metabolisms in Maize

open access: yesPlant Biotechnology Journal, Volume 24, Issue 3, Page 1234-1250, March 2026.
ABSTRACT Vitamin B1 (VB1) plays a crucial role in sustaining plant health and enabling adaptive responses to environmental stress. The complex maize genome implies a sophisticated VB1 synthesis pathway, with the mechanisms by which VB1 benefits plants remaining elusive.

Accessing the impact of harvest weights of Tenebrio molitor on amino acid digestibility and metabolizable energy in cecectomized laying hens

open access: yesJournal of the Science of Food and Agriculture, Volume 106, Issue 1, Page 665-674, 15 January 2026.
Abstract BACKGROUND The effects of harvest weights on composition, amino acid (AA) digestibility and metabolizable energy (MEN) of Tenebrio molitor (TM) were investigated using cecectomized laying hens. The partially defatted and dried TM variants comprised median individual frass‐free harvest weights of 60, 80, 100, and 120 mg of larvae, and a pupae ...

Rice Bran Supplements the Nutritional Density of Ready‐to‐Use Therapeutic Foods: A Targeted Nutrient and Non‐Targeted Metabolomic Analysis

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
Incorporating rice bran in ready‐to‐use therapeutic foods (RUTFs) was used for treatment of childhood malnutrition. RUTF nutrient analysis showed increased dietary fiber and vitamins E and B1. Non‐targeted metabolomics revealed significant changes in lipids, amino acids, carbohydrates, vitamins, and phytochemicals corresponding to rice bran.
