Comment on the paper: Synthesis, growth and characterization of cadmium manganese thiocyanate (CMTC) crystal [PDF]
The authors of the title paper (Spectrochim. Acta 79A (2011) 340-343) report the crystal growth of cadmium manganese thiocyanate CdMn(SCN)4 and its characterization by single crystal X-ray diffraction and infrared spectrum. Many points of criticism, concerning the crystal growth and reported experimental data are highlighted in this report.

Observation of a reversible isomorphous phase transition and an interplay of "sigma-holes'' and "pi-holes'' in Fmoc-Leu-psi[CH2-NCS] [PDF]
Fmoc-Leu-psi[CH2NCS] undergoes a reversible isomorphous phase transition upon cooling. The crystal structure at 100 K displays a short N=C=S center dot center dot center dot N=C=S intermolecular interaction, which has been characterized based on ...

Comments on the paper: Synthesis growth and characterization of copper mercury thiocyanate crystal [Indian J Pure & App Phys 49 (2011) 340-343] [PDF]
The unit cell parameters, infrared and UV-Vis spectral data reported in the paper by Vijayabhaskaran et al (Indian J Pure & App Phys 49 (2011) 340-343) cannot belong to the colourless crystalline compound formulated as copper mercury thiocyanate CuHg(SCN)4 as claimed by the authors.

Copper and gold cyclic (alkyl)(amino)carbene complexes with sub-microsecond photoemissions: Structure and substituent effects on redox and luminescent properties [PDF]
Copper and gold halide and pseudo-halide complexes stabilized by methyl-, ethyl- and adamantyl-substituted cyclic (alkyl)(amino)¬carbene (CAAC) ligands are mostly linear monomers in the solid state, without aurophilic Au···Au interactions.

Note on the Spectra of the Disubstituted Acetylenes and of the Mustard Oils [PDF]
It has been observed that in the Raman spectra of many disubstituted acetylenes the line corresponding to the so-called C≡C frequency is split into two components of not greatly different intensity (1), though this is not the case in the monosubstituted ...
