Soybean Oil, Linseed Oil, Brazil Nut Oil and Fish Oil Supplementation in European Quails Diet: Lipid and Protein Oxidative Stability of Meat During Storage

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Lipid Science and Technology, Volume 128, Issue 1, January 2026.
European quails were fed diets containing soybean oil, linseed oil, Brazil nut oil, fish oil, and their other mixes. After 60 days of frozen storage, quail breast meat from birds receiving Brazil nut oil (alone or combined with soybean oil) exhibited the greatest oxidative stability, maintaining color and reducing lipid and protein oxidation markers ...

Impact of Dopant‐Free Hole Transport Materials on the Performance of Layered Cs3Sb2I9 Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesEnergy Technology, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
Lead‐free Cs3Sb2I9 perovskite solar cells incorporating dopant‐free hole transport materials (HTMs), P3HT, PTB7, and CuSCN, are investigated. Among them, P3HT exhibits the highest performance, achieving a power conversion efficiency of 2.44% with superior device stability.

Shelf‐Life Extension of Chicken Fillets Using Flaxseed Mucilage Coatings Incorporated With Bixin‐Allicin or Bixin‐Orange Peel Essential Oil Nanoemulsions

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
Flaxseed mucilage incorporated with bixin‐allicin or bixin‐orange peel oil nanoemulsions significantly extended the shelf‐life and quality of fresh chicken fillets. ABSTRACT This study evaluated the properties of orange peel essential oil (OPE) and allicin emulsions and their efficacy in flaxseed mucilage‐bixin (FM‐B) coating for preserving chicken ...

Overcoming strain‐induced vertical inhomogeneity in perovskite films for all‐perovskite tandem solar cells

open access: yesInfoMat, Volume 8, Issue 1, January 2026.
Perovskite films were found to require different‐sized passivation molecules at the top and bottom surfaces because crystal spacing varies through the film thickness. With this two‐sided passivation applied to both the high‐ and low‐bandgap layers in an all‐perovskite tandem solar cell, 27.5% efficiency was achieved.

Stress Corrosion Tests for Prestressing Steels—Part 2: Susceptibility of Quenched and Tempered Wires—Influence of Chromium

open access: yesMaterials and Corrosion, Volume 77, Issue 1, Page 36-45, January 2026.
Cr‐alloyed quenched and tempered prestressing steel wires were found to be as highly susceptible as non‐Cr‐alloyed ones. This finding is in contrast to the known literature. A newly developed and reproducible method for assessing susceptibility to hydrogen‐induced stress corrosion cracking was used.

Morphology of Hydrophilic and Hydrophobic Domains are the Key to Improve Fouling Release of Polyurethane Coatings

open access: yesMacromolecular Materials and Engineering, Volume 311, Issue 1, January 2026.
Marine biofouling is strongly decreased by polarity gradients of two‐phase coatings which in addition show a distinct topography and wrinkled surface microstructures with stiff gradients. These material properties collectively reduce the adhesion strength, debase settlement dynamics and ultimately improve the overall fouling release performance of ...
