Furan‐Substituted Phosphine‐Oxide as an Efficient Interfacial Modifier for Wide‐Bandgap Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We report phosphine‐oxide interlayers for wide‐bandgap perovskite solar cells, in which tuned P = O Lewis basicity enables selective passivation of buried NiOx/perovskite interfaces and introduces interfacial dipoles that strengthen the built‐in field.

Bis(thiocyanato-κN)[tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine-κ4N,N′,N′′,N′′′]nickel(II) methanol hemisolvate

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2009
The title complex, [Ni(NCS)2(C18H18N4)]·0.5CH3OH, consists of two crystallographically distinct complexes and a methanol solvent molecule. The NiII complexes are pseudo-octahedral six-coordinate, with the tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine (TPA) ligand ...

Single‐Chromophore Homojunction Organic Solar Cells: A Path to Simplicity and Efficiency

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This perspective discusses how the intrinsic optoelectronic properties of organic semiconductors, their molecular packing in the solid‐state, and internal energetic gradients within a device can enable free‐charge carrier generation in homojunction organic solar cells.

Label free colorimetric sensing of thiocyanate based on inducing aggregation of Tween 20-stabilized gold nanoparticles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Based on inducing the aggregation of gold nanoparticles (AuNPs), a simple colorimetric method with high sensitivity and selectivity was developed for the sensing of thiocyanate (SCN-) in aqueous solutions.

Decoupling the Transparency‐Efficiency Trade‐Off in Semi‐Transparent Organic Solar Cells via Optimized Dual‐Channel Photoelectric Conversion

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The respective roles of the heterojunction (HJ) and spontaneously formed photo‐charge (SP) channels in low‐donor‐content devices have been decoupled and subjected to a targeted optimization strategy. A breakthrough of light utilization efficiency (LUE) in semi‐transparent organic solar cells (ST‐OSCs) is achieved.

Glucosinolates in plant protection strategies: A review [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
This review discusses the importance of glucosinolates in plant protection. The Brassicaceae, which are cultivated worldwide, use glucosinolates and their decomposition products to defend themselves against attacks by harmful organisms.

High‐Sublimation‐Temperature Additives for Efficient Perovskite Solar Cells via Single‐Source Evaporation

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
The introduction of high‐sublimation‐temperature additives during the mechanosynthesis of FAPbI3 powders enables the single‐source evaporation of phase‐pure, additive‐free FAPbI3 thin films of high optoelectronic quality. The additive‐engineered deposition process yields photovoltaic devices with stabilized efficiencies exceeding 18% for an active ...

Otto Billeter or How the Oldest [3,3]-Sigmatropic Rearrangement went to Neuchâtel, Part 2 Otto Billeter oder wie die älteste [3,3]-sigmatrope Umlagerung nach Neuenburg kam: Teil 2

open access: yesCHIMIA, 2000
The historical survey of the uncatalyzed, thermal rearrangement of thiocyanates into isothiocyanates is continued, starting with a review of Otto Billeter's scientific and social career in Neuchâtel. A specific look is taken at 1925 where Ludwig

The crystal structure of urea nitrate [PDF]

open access: yes, 1969
The structure of urea nitrate has been solved, by the use of three-dimensional X-ray data. Data were collected using Cu Ke and Mo K0~ radiations. The structure consists of layers with urea and nitrate groups held together by hydrogen bonds. The positions
