LAT1/SLC7A5‐mediated amino acid uptake is regulated by redox signals triggered by formyl‐peptide receptor 2

FPR2 activation mediates NOX‐dependent LAT1 expression and, in turn, promotes mTORC1 signaling. Upon stimulation with WKYMVm, the FPR2‐NOX2‐ROS axis upregulates LAT1 via increased c‐Myc phosphorylation and decreased miR‐126. Additionally, it promotes CD98 translocation to the plasma membrane.

ER proteostasis meets mitochondrial function: contact sites as hubs of communication and therapeutic targets

Proteostasis ensures proper protein folding, modification, and degradation, while its impairment triggers ER stress. Chronic ER stress and maladaptive UPR via the CHOP–ERO1 axis remodel ERMCs, altering calcium signaling and mitochondrial metabolism.

The competitive interplay of 12‐oxophytodienoic acid (OPDA), protein thiols, and glutathione

12‐Oxophytodienoic acid (OPDA) is a phytohormone involved in plant growth and stress defense. Due to its cyclopentenone moiety, OPDA can form Michael adducts with thiol‐containing compounds such as glutathione and cysteine residues of proteins, resulting in alterations of the cellular redox regulatory network.

A Lavandula angustifolia flower extract and dipeptide‐4 blend modulates oxidative, glycative, autophagic and circadian pathways in human skin models

The blend enhanced antioxidation, anti‐glycation, autophagy and circadian regulation in cell and skin models. Key markers included mitochondrial ROS, γ‐H2AX, AGEs, ATP, melatonin, LC3 and SOD. Significant improvements were visualized via fluorescence and quantified with statistical markers.
