[The serine- and threonine dehydratases of brucellae].

open access: yesZhurnal mikrobiologii, epidemiologii i immunobiologii, 1976
In studying 62 strains of brucellae of all the known species an inductive enzyme--1-serine-hydrolyase(desaminating) was revealed in the intact cells and cell-free extracts. The activity of this enzyme depended on the species of brucellae and showed a sharp elevation in destruction of the cells with supersonic waves.

Inhibition of Escherichia coli Biodegradative Threonine Dehydratase by Pyruvate [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Bacteriology, 1979
Pyruvate inhibits Escherichia coli K-12 biodegradative threonine dehydratase activity by a mechanism distinct from product inhibition by α-ketobutyrate and catabolite inactivation by intermediary metabolites.

Biochemical and structural characterization of a reactive intermediate deaminase A homolog from Streptococcus sanguinis

open access: yesScientific Reports
2-Aminoacrylate (2AA) is a short-lived enamine generated as a catalytic intermediate in the dehydration of serine by serine/threonine dehydratase enzymes. 2AA is a metabolic stressor capable of inactivating important pyridoxal phosphate dependent enzymes

Structural characterization of atypical ACC deaminases from potent PGPR strain H. diazotrophicus E19T

open access: yesThe Microbe
Hartmannibacter diazotrophicus E19T is well recognized as a plant growth-promoting rhizobacterium (PGPR) able to colonize the rhizosphere of barley and promote its growth under salt stress conditions. An asdS gene, encoding aminocyclopropane-1-carboxylic

Integrative physiological, metabolomic, and transcriptomic analysis reveals the drought responses of two apple rootstock cultivars

open access: yesBMC Plant Biology
Background Drought is considered the main environmental factor restricting apple production and thus the development of the apple industry. Rootstocks play an important role in enhancing the drought tolerance of apple plants.

Intestinal microbiota promoted NiONPs-induced liver fibrosis via effecting serum metabolism

open access: yesEcotoxicology and Environmental Safety
Nickel oxide nanoparticles (NiONPs) are toxic heavy metal compounds that induce liver fibrosis and metabolic disorders. Current research shows that the intestinal microbiota regulates liver metabolism through the gut-liver axis.
