Continuous Wavelet Transform and Hidden Markov Model Based Target Detection [PDF]
Standard tracking filters perform target detection process by comparing the sensor output signal with a predefined threshold. However, selecting the detection threshold is of great importance and a wrongly selected threshold causes two major problems ...

Parallel Peeling Algorithms [PDF]
The analysis of several algorithms and data structures can be framed as a peeling process on a random hypergraph: vertices with degree less than k are removed until there are no vertices of degree less than k left.

Thresholding algorithm for local and parallel processing
AbstractIn this paper, we propose a thresholding algorithm. This algorithm works under a severe constraint: each pixel in a processed image must be derived from only information of its neighboring pixels. This constraint is very important for a low‐cost device such as a mobile camera, because it makes it possible to process each pixel in parallel.

ABSTRACT Background and Aims Wilms tumour (WT) has excellent event‐free and overall survival (OS). However, small differences exist between countries participating in the same international study. This led us to examine variation in adherence to protocol recommendations as a potential contributing factor.

RECEPTIVE AND PRODUCTIVE VOCABULARY ACQUISITION: EXAMINING PROCESSING TIME AND MEMORY THRESHOLD
: In the present research a picture card-based vocabulary study method was used to determine the pace of learner acquisition in terms of both receptive and productive knowledge. Fifty-eight first-year Japanese university students in two classes were used

Design of a single-chip pH sensor using a conventional 0.6-μm CMOS process [PDF]
A pH sensor fabricated on a single chip by an unmodified, commercial 0.6-/spl μm CMOS process is presented. The sensor comprises a circuit for making differential measurements between an ion-sensitive field-effect transistor (ISFET) and a reference ...

On the connectivity threshold of Achlioptas processes [PDF]
In this paper we study the connectivity threshold of Achlioptas processes. It is well known that the classical Erdős-Renyi random graph with n vertices becomes connected whp (with high probability, i.e., with probability tending to one as n → ∞) when the number of edges is asymptotically 1 2n log n.

ABSTRACT Background Children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) are at risk of severe outcomes from SARS‐CoV‐2 (SCV2). In the post‐pandemic context, where most children have been infected with SCV2, there are limited data on whether vaccination remains beneficial in children with ALL.
