Isolation and characterization of metmyoglobin reductase from yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares)
Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part B: Comparative Biochemistry, 1985The isolation, purification, and characterization of metmyoglobin reductase from yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares) is described. The enzyme has been purified 120-fold. Characterization of the enzyme includes molecular weight, isoelectric point, substrate specificity, enzyme kinetics, chromatographic behavior, and sensitivity to inhibitors.

Characteristics of collagens from the swim bladders of yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares)
Food Chemistry, 2014Acid soluble collagen (ASC) and pepsin soluble collagen (PSC) were extracted from the swim bladders of yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares) with yields of 1.07% and 12.10%, respectively. Based on electrophoretic patterns, both ASC and PSC consisted of two α-chains (α1 and α2) and were characterised to be type I collagen. ASC had higher β-chains than PSC.

Purification and characterization of an aminopeptidase from tuna (Thunnus albacares) pyloric caeca
Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - Protein Structure and Molecular Enzymology, 1994An aminopeptidase was purified from a water soluble fraction of tuna pyloric caeca by heat treatment, Zn2+ fractionation, ion exchange on a DEAE cellulose column, gel filtration on Fractogel TSK-55, and immobilized metal ion affinity chromatography (IMAC) on IDA(Cu2+/Zn2+)-Sepharose 6B.

A unique selenoprotein isolated from yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares) liver
Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology Part C: Comparative Pharmacology, 1986A selenoprotein, with an approximate molecular weight of 2000, was isolated from yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares) liver. The selenium (Se) content of this selenoprotein fraction represented greater than 50% of the Se in the original liver extract. Most of the unrecovered Se was left in the pellet following homogenization.

A Candidate Magnetic Sense Organ in the Yellowfin Tuna, Thunnus albacares
Science, 1984Single-domain magnetite crystals have been isolated and characterized from tissue located in a sinus within the dermethmoid bone of the skull of the yellowfin tuna, Thunnus albacares . Their chemical composition, narrow size distribution, and distinctive crystal morphology indicate that these crystals are ...

HISTOLOGI PERKEMBANGAN ORGAN LARVA YELLOWFIN TUNA (Thunnus albacares)

Fisheries oceanography of Yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares) in the Tasman sea
2012Sustainable fishing is required to protect and maintain marine biodiversity and to ensure fisheries that are both economically viable and productive. Effective management of living marine resources requires well-informed decisions through an appreciation of past, present and future pressures.
