Diagnosis and Management of Prenatal Hereditary Pyropoikilocytosis

open access: yesPrenatal Diagnosis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Hereditary pyropoikilocytosis (HPP) is a severe hemolytic anemia caused by variants in SPTA1, SPTB, and EPB41. These weaken horizontal interactions in the erythrocyte cytoskeleton, causing membrane fragmentation and splenic sequestration. It will readily cause fetal anemia and often hydrops fetalis. Prenatal diagnosis requires first ruling out

Impact of Letermovir on Voriconazole Concentrations in Lung Transplant Patients

open access: yesTransplant Infectious Disease, EarlyView.
Concomitant letermovir was associated with lower voriconazole exposure and reduced attainment of commonly used efficacy thresholds in lung transplant recipients. Routine therapeutic drug monitoring after letermovir initiation is recommended, and empiric voriconazole dose escalation may be needed to avoid subtherapeutic exposure. ABSTRACT Background The

Five‐Year Outcomes and Clinicopathological Correlations of Kidney Transplants From Deceased Donors With Diabetes

open access: yesClinical Transplantation, Volume 40, Issue 10, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Kidneys from deceased donors with diabetes mellitus are refused because diabetes is considered a marker of lower organ quality. We evaluated 5‐year outcomes according to donor‐recipient diabetes status and, secondarily, the prognostic value of pre‐implantation histopathological findings among accepted diabetic donor kidneys ...

Kidney transplantation under minimal immunosuppression after pretransplant lymphoid depletion with Thymoglobulin or Campath [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
BACKGROUND: Multiple drug immunosuppression has allowed the near elimination of rejection, but without commensurate improvements in longterm graft survival and at the cost of quality of life.

Soluble Immune Checkpoints and Anti‐HLA Antibodies in Kidney Transplant Recipients: Associations With Kidney Function

open access: yesImmunology, Volume 179, Issue 2, Page 269-286, October 2026.
Soluble immune checkpoints, anti‐HLA panel‐reactive antibodies, and kidney function parameters were evaluated to investigate their associations with early graft function. Pre‐transplant patients showed higher levels of sCD25, sPD‐L1, sTIM‐3, Gal‐9, sCD27, and sPD‐L2 than healthy controls, while post‐transplant temporal changes were observed in sCD25 ...

Predictive Value of HLA‐Derived T‐Cell Epitope and B‐Cell Epitope Matching Algorithms for Pancreas Transplant Outcomes

open access: yesClinical Transplantation, Volume 40, Issue 9, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Donor/recipient HLA molecular mismatches are predictive of kidney transplant outcomes. Their role in pancreas transplantation has not been well studied. Methods We conducted a retrospective cohort study in 281 pancreas (± kidney) transplant recipients during 2000–2018, followed for average 53.8 months.

Thai Transplant Care Practice Guideline on Immunosuppressive Therapy for Adult Kidney Transplantation

open access: yesNephrology, Volume 31, Issue S2, September 2026.
ABSTRACT The Thai Transplantation Society developed these clinical practice guidelines to establish a comprehensive standard for immunosuppressive therapy in adult kidney transplantation. While rooted in evidence‐based medicine, the objective of this document extends beyond local application, serving as a practical model for low‐to‐middle‐income ...

Correlation of histology to clinical rejection reversal: A Thymoglobulin Multicenter Trial report [PDF]

open access: yes, 1999
Correlation of histology to rejection reversal: A Thymoglobulin Multicenter Trial reportBackgroundHistology may provide a link between clinical response to antirejection therapy and graft function. In a subset of centers, renal biopsy was a secondary end
