Thyroid function and risk of type 2 diabetes: a population-based prospective cohort study
BackgroundThe association of thyroid function with risk of type 2 diabetes remains elusive. We aimed to investigate the association of thyroid function with incident diabetes and progression from prediabetes to diabetes in a population-based prospective ...

The study presents an antibiotic‐free strategy using medical fabrics coated with supramolecular assemblies of polyarginine and hyaluronic acid. These coatings showed strong antimicrobial and anti‐biofilm activity in vitro and in vivo, achieving major bacterial load reductions, including against MRSA.

Segmentation of ultrasound images of thyroid nodule for assisting fine needle aspiration cytology [PDF]
The incidence of thyroid nodule is very high and generally increases with the age. Thyroid nodule may presage the emergence of thyroid cancer. The thyroid nodule can be completely cured if detected early.

This review explores how alternative invertebrate and small‐vertebrate models advance the evaluation of nanomaterials across medicine and environmental science. By bridging cellular and organismal levels, these models enable integrated assessment of toxicity, biodistribution, and therapeutic performance.

Review of the risks and/or benefits of thyroxine treatment in ‘mild’ subclinical hypothyroidism [PDF]
Subclinical hypothyroidism (SCH) is a form of mild thyroid failure and is a commonly encountered condition in clinical practice. It denotes the presence of a raised serum thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) and normal serum free thyroid hormone ...

Influence of thyroid hormones on biochemical parameters of liver function: a case-control study in North Indian population [PDF]
Normal level of thyroid hormones is important for normal hepatic function and thyroid dysfunction may modulate metabolic function of liver. The purpose of this study is to determine whether liver function is associated with subclinical and overt ...

Integrated Lead/Iodine Management for Sustainable Perovskite Solar Modules
Perovskite solar modules face environmental risks from lead and iodine leakage. A dual‐function adsorbent—porphyrin‐modified whitlockite nanocomposites—effectively captures iodine and Pb2+, even under severe damage. Combined with a semi‐closed recycling process, it recovers 96.9% high‐purity PbI2 and reduces residual Pb2+ to <10 ppb, offering an ...

Profil Petani Sayur di Kabupaten Karanganyar Berdasarkan Kadar Kholinesterase dan Fungsi Tiroidnya [PDF]
Iodine is an essential mineral. This mineral is indispensable as thyroid forming substance, which is produced by the thyroid gland. The performance of the thyroid gland could be disrupted by the pesticide, when used excessively.

EIF1AX Nucleolar Condensates Enhance Susceptibilities for the Management of Endometrial Cancer
This schematic illustrates the mechanism of a senolytic strategy in endometrial cancer. EIF1AX facilitates the incorporation of DDX21 into nucleolar condensates, an event that suppresses rDNA transcription and induces cellular senescence. The compound 2,5‐MeC exploits this pathway by promoting EIF1AX nucleolar translocation and condensate formation ...
