Imaging in thyroid-associated orbitopathy [PDF]
Thyroid-associated orbitopathy (TAO) is an autoimmune condition of the orbit which is closely associated with Graves' hyperthyroidism, although either condition may exist without the other. It may antedate, coincide with or follow hyperthyroidism (1±10).

ABSTRACT Introduction BRCA2 alterations and high tumor mutational burden (TMB‐H) are responsible for prostate cancer; however, their co‐occurrence is uncommon, and evidence for PARP inhibition in the castration‐sensitive setting remains limited. We describe a case of metastatic castration‐resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) harboring both biomarkers ...

The diagnostic model combining orbital and intracranial MAP‐MRI parameters could significantly optimize diagnostic efficiency of dysthyroid optic neuropathy. Comprehensive MAP‐MRI parameters analysis of the entire visual pathway enables a deeper understanding of disease involvement, provides novel insights into the early accurate diagnosis and ...

Radiological signs on orbital imaging of immunoglobulin G4-related disease
Immunoglobulin G4 (IgG4)-related disease has strong organ predilections, and orbital involvement is not rare. Eyelid puffiness with erythema, extraocular movement deficit with proptosis are common presentations, which could sometimes mimic thyroid ...

Abstract Purpose Patients with severe ocular motility restriction and/or large angle strabismus due to Graves' orbitopathy (GO) cannot be adequately addressed with conventional strabismus surgery using large muscle recessions. Muscle tendon elongation surgery, using a spacer of bovine pericardium (Tutopatch®) has emerged as a valuable alternative.
