Spin-Orbital Conversion with the Tight Focus of an Axial Superposition of a High-Order Cylindrical Vector Beam and a Beam with Linear Polarization

open access: yesMicromachines, 2022
In this paper, spin-orbital conversion in the tight focus of an axial superposition of a high-order (order m) cylindrical vector beam and a beam with linear polarization is theoretically and numerically considered.

Entanglement Polygon Inequality in Qubit Systems

open access: yes, 2018
We prove a set of tight entanglement inequalities for arbitrary $N$-qubit pure states. By focusing on all bi-partite marginal entanglements between each single qubit and its remaining partners, we show that the inequalities provide an upper bound for ...

Realistic laser focusing effect on electron acceleration in the presence of a pulsed magnetic field [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
As we know, for a significant electron energy gain, a fast electron should be injected into the highest intensity region of the laser focus. Such intensities may be achieved in the laboratory by tight focusing of a laser.

Exploring Preferences for a Digital Single‐Session Intervention for Adolescent Siblings of Youth With Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Adolescent siblings of children with cancer are at elevated risk for psychosocial problems. Unfortunately, various barriers such as limited family time and resources, conflicting schedules, and psychosocial staffing constraints at cancer centers hinder sibling access to support.

Minimal Focal Spot Size Measured Based on Intensity and Power Flow

open access: yesSensors, 2021
It is shown, theoretically and numerically, that the distributions of the longitudinal energy flow for tightly focused light with circular and linear polarization are the same, and that the spot has circular symmetry.

Long range transport of ultra cold atoms in a far-detuned 1D optical lattice

open access: yes, 2012
We present a novel method to transport ultra cold atoms in a focused optical lattice over macroscopic distances of many Rayleigh ranges. With this method ultra cold atoms were transported over 5 cm in 250 ms without significant atom loss or heating.

European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline and EXPeRT Recommendations for the Diagnosis and Management of Gastroenteropancreatic Neuroendocrine Neoplasms in Children and Adolescents

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Pediatric gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine neoplasms (GEP‐NENs) are extremely rare and clinically heterogeneous. Management has largely been extrapolated from adult practice. This European Standard Clinical Practice Guideline (ESCP), developed by the EXPeRT network in collaboration with adult NEN experts, provides (adult) evidence ...

Simulation of laser light focusing with two-layer dielectric microcyl-inders

open access: yesКомпьютерная оптика, 2021
Focusing of a linearly polarized laser beam of wavelength 633 nm with two-layer dielectric microcylinders of a circular cross-section and 2-um diameter was simulated using a finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method, implemented using the FullWAVE ...

Efficacy and Tolerability of Topotecan/Cyclophosphamide/Dinutuximab in Relapsed and Refractory High‐Risk Neuroblastoma: A Multi‐Institutional Retrospective Study

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Purpose Chemoimmunotherapy with irinotecan, temozolomide, and dinutuximab (I/T/DIN) has emerged as first‐line therapy for relapsed/refractory (r/r) high‐risk neuroblastoma (HRNB) in North America. Topotecan and cyclophosphamide (T/C) are often used in combination with dinutuximab in the setting of lack of response, progression, or incomplete ...

Study of broadband multimode light via non-phase-matched sum frequency generation

open access: yesNew Journal of Physics, 2019
We propose non-phase-matched sum frequency generation (SFG) as a method for characterizing broadband multimode light. Both the central wavelength and the bandwidth are in this case not limited by the phase matching condition.
