TIME-DELAYED FEEDBACK CONTROL OF TIME-DELAY CHAOTIC SYSTEMS

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2003
This paper addresses time-delayed feedback control (DFC) of time-delay chaotic systems. To extend the DFC approach to time-delay chaotic system, alter having been successfully used in chaotic systems without time-delays, the standard feedback control (SFC) method is firstly employed to show the main control technique in this paper based on one error ...

Stabilization of time delay systems

Proceedings of the 2000 American Control Conference. ACC (IEEE Cat. No.00CH36334), 2000
We first consider the problem of stabilizing a first-order plant with dead time using a constant gain controller. Using a version of the Hermite-Biehler theorem applicable to quasipolynomials, a complete analytical characterization of all stabilizing gain values is provided as a closed form solution.

Approximation of time-delay systems

Proceedings of the 2000 American Control Conference. ACC (IEEE Cat. No.00CH36334), 2000
We propose a new method for approximating time-delays in dynamical systems. A weighted H/sup /spl infin// norm criterion is minimized to obtain rational approximation of e/sup -sd/. We report the approximation in a diagram relating both the amount of time delay and the bandwidth to the order of the approximating rational function for a given level of ...

Analog time delay system

Papers presented at the May 3-5, 1960, western joint IRE-AIEE-ACM computer conference on - IRE-AIEE-ACM '60 (Western), 1960
The Convair-Astronautics Time Delay System is being developed to make possible the delay of analog functions over a greater range than is possible with more conventional means. The system is designed to handle ten channels of analog data, delay each for the same time interval, and reproduce the functions within 0.1% of the original composition for all ...

Synchronization of time-delayed systems

Physical Review E, 2007
In this paper we study synchronization in linearly coupled time-delayed systems. We first consider coupled nonidentical Ikeda systems with a square wave coupling rate. Using the theory of the time-delayed equation, we derive less restrictive synchronization conditions than those resulting from the Krasovskii-Lyapunov theory [Yang Kuang, (Academic Press,

OSCILLATIONS IN AN EXCITABLE SYSTEM WITH TIME-DELAYS

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2003
Transition from excitability to asymptotic periodicity in an excitable system, modeled by the FitzHugh–Nagumo equations, with multiple time-delays, is analyzed. It is demonstrated that, for intermediate time-lags, the system has two coexisting attractors, a hyperbolic stable fixed point and a stable limit cycle.

Instrumental Variable System Identification for Time-Delayed system with Non-Integer Time-Delay

2020 17th International Multi-Conference on Systems, Signals & Devices (SSD), 2020
In this paper a bias eliminated system identification method for an output error model is proposed. The system under consideration is a time delayed system. The identification is done via a discrete time (DT) model with non-integer time delay. In a Discrete time, system, the time delay is a non-integer multiple of the sampling period.
