Observer Design With Better Delay Margin for Linear Time-Delay Systems

open access: yesElectrica, 2016
In this paper a H-inf type observer is proposed for linear time delay systems with delay in states. The stability of the observer is proved by Lyapunov approach.

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

H ∞  sliding mode observer design for a class of nonlinear discrete time-delay systems: A delay-fractioning approach

open access: yes, 2011
Copyright @ 2012 John Wiley & SonsIn this paper, the H ∞  sliding mode observer (SMO) design problem is investigated for a class of nonlinear discrete time-delay systems.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

An improved delay-dependent stabilization criterion of linear time-varying delay systems: An iterative method [PDF]

open access: yes, 2023
summary:This paper presents delay-dependent stabilization criteria for linear time-varying delay systems. A less conservative stabilization criterion is derived by invoking a new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and then, extended reciprocally convex ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

SMC design for robust H∞ control of uncertain stochastic delay systems

open access: yes, 2010
Recently, sliding mode control method has been extended to accommodate stochastic systems. However, the existing results employ an assumption that may be too restrictive for many stochastic systems.

Second-order sliding mode control of time delay systems [PDF]

open access: yesActa Montanistica Slovaca, 2003
The contribution of the paper is a proposal of the second-order sliding mode control of time delay systems developed analogously to the first-order version.
