Alternatives to the Cox model in multi-state models [PDF]
The introduction of time-dependent covariates in the survival process can make the patients survival change from one time point to the next as the values of the covariate change.

Cartel Duration and Endogenous Private Monitoring and Communication: An Instrumental Variables Approach [PDF]
Colluding firms often exchange private information and make transfers within the cartels based on the information. Estimating the impact of such collusive practices— known as the “lysine strategy profile (LSP)”— on cartel duration is difficult because of

Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

COX PROPORTIONAL HAZARD REGRESSION SURVIVAL ANALYSIS FOR TYPE 2 DIABETES MELITUS
One of the most widely used methods of survival analysis is Cox proportional hazard regression. It is a semiparametric regression used to investigate the effects of a number of variables on the dependent variable based on survival time.

Impact of depth of response on survival in patients treated with cobimetinib ± vemurafenib: pooled analysis of BRIM-2, BRIM-3, BRIM-7 and coBRIM. [PDF]
BackgroundThis pooled analysis investigated the prognostic value of depth of response in two cohorts of patients with BRAFV600-mutated metastatic melanoma treated with vemurafenib or cobimetinib plus vemurafenib.MethodsThe data were pooled from BRIM-2 ...

Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Accumulating studies have revealed that necroptosis plays a vital role in the occurrence and development of pancreatic adenocarcinoma (PAAD). We aimed to construct a prognostic model for PAAD on the basis of necroptosis-related lncRNAs (NRLs).

Both cg12821679MAPRE3 methylation and MAPRE3 expression are significantly associated with overall survival (OS) of non‐small cell lung cancer. Meanwhile, MAPRE3 expression significantly modified the effect of smoking cessation on OS. Smoking cessation benefits OS merely for patients with high MAPRE3 expression.
