Modeling hepatic fibrosis in TP53 knockout iPSC‐derived human liver organoids

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study developed iPSC‐derived human liver organoids with TP53 gene knockout to model human liver fibrosis. These organoids showed elevated myofibroblast activation, early disease markers, and advanced fibrotic hallmarks. The use of profibrotic differentiation medium further amplified the fibrotic signature seen in the organoids.

Optimization control of time-varying cyber–physical systems via dynamic-triggered strategies

open access: yesResults in Control and Optimization
A novel approach is proposed for designing control strategies for time-varying cyber–physical systems (CPSs) with unknown dynamics, eliminating the need for system identification.

PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells enhances bortezomib sensitivity in multiple myeloma cells by altering their metabolism

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study investigated how PYCR1 inhibition in bone marrow stromal cells (BMSCs) indirectly affects multiple myeloma (MM) cell metabolism and viability. Culturing MM cells in conditioned medium from PYCR1‐silenced BMSCs impaired oxidative phosphorylation and increased sensitivity to bortezomib.

AN ALTERNATIVE METHOD FOR THE DESIGN OF TIME-VARYING FEEDBACK CONTROL SYSTEMS

open access: yesDyna, 2012
El presente artículo propone utilizar una estrategia numérica basada en un algoritmo de optimización metaheurístico de enjambre de partículas discreto, para resolver un problema de diseño de compensadores en sistemas retroalimentados variantes en el ...

Robust Sliding Mode Control for Time-Varying Systems With Adaptive Prescribed Performance

open access: yesIEEE Access
The system parameter variations will degrade the system performances, and they can not be estimated in time. This paper proposes a robust sliding mode control for time-varying systems with adaptive prescribed performance.

Inhibition of CDK9 enhances AML cell death induced by combined venetoclax and azacitidine

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The CDK9 inhibitor AZD4573 downregulates c‐MYC and MCL‐1 to induce death of cytarabine (AraC)‐resistant AML cells. This enhances VEN + AZA‐induced cell death significantly more than any combination of two of the three drugs in AraC‐resistant AML cells.

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.

Patient‐specific pharmacogenomics demonstrates xCT as predictive therapeutic target in colon cancer with possible implications in tumor connectivity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study integrates transcriptomic profiling of matched tumor and healthy tissues from 32 colorectal cancer patients with functional validation in patient‐derived organoids, revealing dysregulated metabolic programs driven by overexpressed xCT (SLC7A11) and SLC3A2, identifying an oncogenic cystine/glutamate transporter signature linked to ...

Prescribed-time stabilization of nonlinear systems with uncertainties/disturbances by improved time-varying feedback control

open access: yesAIMS Mathematics
We address the prescribed-time stability of a class of nonlinear system with uncertainty/disturbance. With the help of the parametric Lyapunov equation (PLE), we designed a state feedback control to regulate the full-state of a controlled system within ...
