Time-varying linear system decomposed control

Proceedings of the 1998 American Control Conference. ACC (IEEE Cat. No.98CH36207), 1998
This paper is concerned with the block control decomposition method for multivariable time varying linear plants in which the control law synthesis problem is divided into a number of sub-problems of lower dimension which can be solved independently. First, the block modal control problem is solved.

Control of nonlinear time-varying systems

1981 20th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control including the Symposium on Adaptive Processes, 1981
Consider the time-varying nonlinear system of the form x(t) = f(x,t) + ?i=1 mui(t)gi(x,t), with f, g1,...,gm being l? vector fields on Rn+1. We give necessary and sufficient conditions for this system to be transformable to a time-invariant controllable linear system.

ABSOLUTE STABILITY OF TIME-VARYING NONLINEAR CONTROL SYSTEM

Acta Mathematica Scientia, 1999
In the paper, two classes of time-varying, finite-dimensional nonlinear control systems are considered. Some definitions of absolute stability of the control system are given. Next, sufficient conditions of absolute stability of these control systems are formulated and proved. In the proofs of the main results the analogue of the variation of constants

Robust Controller Synthesis for Uncertain Time-Varying Systems

SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 2002
The paper extends results on linear time-invariant robust design to linear time-varying systems (arising for example when linearizing a non-linear system along a given trajectory). Tools include standard state-space results on robust design, such as the scaled small-gain theorem, but also less standard results on linear operator inequalities and ...

Optimal Control of Time-Varying Queuing Systems

Management Science, 1973
The optimal control of a single-stage multi-server time-varying queuing system is considered. A mathematical model and an index of performance for the queuing system are formulated, and the optimal arrival rate of the input process to the service mechanism is then determined.

H/sup ∞/ control for linear time-varying systems: controller parameterization

IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 1999
The \(H^\infty\) control problem is studied for finite-dimensional linear time-varying (FDLTV) systems of the form: \[ \begin{aligned} \dot x(t) & =A(t)x(t)+ B_1(t)w(t)+ B_2(t)u(t)\\ z(t) & =C_1(t)x(t)+ D_{12}(t)u(t)\\ y(t) & =C_2(t)x(t)+ D_{21} (t)w(t)\\ x(0) & =0,\;t\in \mathbb{R}^+ \end{aligned} \] where \(x\in \mathbb{R}^n\) represents the state, \(
