Emitter location via Kalman filtering of signal time difference of arrival [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
A relatively simple time domain method is developed to calculate the time of arrival for radar signals. The error present in the estimate of the time of arrival for a single pulse and a burst of pulses are developed and the effects of SNR, PRF ...

Localization of Bryde's whales using time difference of arrival principles [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
Thesis (MEng)--Stellenbosch University, 2021.ENGLISH ABSTRACT: The thesis presented gives the detailed practical implementation for a passive audio de-tection system that makes use of time difference of arrival theory to locate the source ofaudio signals

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

Emitter Location Using Frequency Difference of Arrival Measurements Only

open access: yes, 2022
It is desirable to enable emitter location using frequency difference of arrival (FDoA) measurements only, since many signals are characterized by coarse range resolution and fine Doppler resolution. For instance, while using the cross-ambiguity function

pH‐mediated activation of the lysosomal arginine sensor SLC38A9

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Cells monitor nutrient levels via the lysosomal transporter SLC38A9 to activate the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 (mTORC1). This study reveals that SLC38A9 function is regulated by pH. We identified histidine 544 as a critical pH sensor that undergoes conformational changes to control amino acid efflux from lysosomes; therefore, it ...

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

PARTICLE SWARM OPTIMIZATION FOR TIME-DIFFERENCE-OF-ARRIVAL BASED LOCALIZATION

open access: yes, 2008
Time-difference-of-arrival (TDOA) based source localization has been intensively studied and broadly applied in many fields. In this paper, particle swarm optimization (PSO) is employed for positioning with TDOA measurements in the circumstances of known
